In Nov 2006 her immigration status was found out and a couple months later she was removed, not deported, and went back to Jamaica in early 2007. We decided to try a long distance relationship. I had even been living in Jamaica for over a year during gap year which was amazing. I left in Sept 2008 in order to start uni which I have just finished the first year.
As the long distance is just not starting to get hard for both of us we are considering separating and hopefully in the future we would have better luck or doing a getting married either in Jamaica or over here.
The better option would be to get a fiancé visa as this would make it financially easier and more time to prepare, wedding, living, work etc and I would have to spend money to go to Jamaica this time. Considering she was removed how likely is it that the application will keep getting rejected and just prolong more upset?? Our other option is to marry in Jamaica and begin a settlement visa in August however this will be harder. Do both route share the same possibility of rejection or will starting the application after being married be more successful?
Sorry for the length I just thought the ‘full’ story would help. Regards
