Fiance Visa4UK / VFS - Supporting Documents

Hi all

I would really appreciate some help. And like others, apologise if this is already a topic somewhere....

My girlfiend and I are applying for a family/fiancé Visa from outside the UK (in Taiwan) through Visa4UK and VFS Global. We are both currently in Taiwan.

We realise this is country specific question but cannot find definitive answers on any offcial website.

1. Does she need to attend the Biometric appointment in Taipei with all the suppprting documents ready? What would happen if she doesn't have them with her? We would like to get the process started and I will then return to the UK in a week or 2, prepare my supporting documents and upload them at a VFS centre. Is there an order in which the documents have to be submitted?

2. Do all supporting documents have to be original? We read somewhere that as long as they are clear copies they are OK. I guess this might partly come down to us and the risk. For example we were hoping to submit her knowledge of English certificate as a good quality copy, So we won't have to post it to the UK.

My Girlfriend is going for her bio metrics appointment in 2 weeks.
I plan to submit the documents in the UK, should this be done before or after the appointment?

Was the copy of the English certificate enough? I plan to use a good copy as well.

Any help greatly appreciated.
