Fiancee to Marriage in Country

Post by Ramsay » Tue Jun 10, 2008 12:26 pm

My better half is here now on a fiancee visa thanks mainly to help I got from this board.

My question is: can I apply to get the 2 year marraige visa as soon as we are married? I want to do it ASAP so that there is 6 months left on her travel doc and not have to get it renewed before applying for the visa.

Secondly, my future wife is on Travel Docs from Nepal and they'll only issue 12 months at a time. I trust, so long as there is 6 months left when applying for future visas, there will be no problems?? Just means a yearly trip from Aberdeen to Nepal Embassy in London because they'll only renew in person.

Cheers again for the help, its very much appreciated

Cheers Wanderer

I remember it being mentioned that you can make an appointment and do it in a day. I think Scotland is dealt with by an office in Glasgow but I've had a scout on google and can't find contact details.

Do you have a link to where I'd get this please?

You can, PEO in Glasgow I'm sure; their number is 0141 555 1258 I dunno the address.

Costs more tho - £585 or £595 I think now....
