Hi All,
Long time i was absent from this board as I got busy with work personal life.
This board got transformed a lotta, No fun wun and no gup shup ;) saw many moderating also ;)
I was also requested to be moderator but i didn't accept as i was busy with life.
Any way update from my side is that i'm finally going to UK in september
Just to remind that my clock started in April'04.
For jobs i tried everything, i gave few interviews also, but without any success.

I wanted to ask one question regarding customs and on arrival formalities.
What are things to do for customs and on arrival formalities?

One is to carry Chest X-Ray any other things to take care of?

Congrats for going to UK...cant wait for me to say "I'm off to UK". :lol:

I believe that it is best to carry a set of X-Rays with you - more than that I am also waiting for the "ready-in-the-UK'ers" to tell me.

Ajay, I've entered the UK a number of times during the last year (latest mid of April) and will be going for 3-4 days in September as well.
No need of X-Rays for now. I am on a visitors visa but I don't think this changes something, does it?
Not sure what you mean by customs. There is usually a green (nothing to declare) road and a red (goods to declare). No one is ever staying at the green road so if you choose it you just exit the airport ;)
If you want to declare something I can't give you an advice cause I never did that.
And finally this is how is it on Heathrow. I usually arrive at Heathrow and just once on Leeds/Bradford. Cannot comment about the other airports but should be almost the same?!

Bugmaster, somewhere it states that when one enters the UK for periods longer than six months - a medical is required (don't ask me why - see no difference when a guy come in for five months and 20 days viz-a-vie six months and 2 days).

Kayalami and others, can you refresh my memory where I saw this please...? :roll:

Medicals are 'country specific' - not everyone coming for over 6 months requires a medical - Check with BDP, BHC or British consulate in home country...

Hi Ajayx,,

If you had yoru chest x-ray done in last 6 months, then it is better to carry that x-ray with you, or else they will make u stand for that scanning machine.
They ask you if u had TB illiness in past.

Next , they ask you how long u will stay here.. if more than 6 monmths and no x-ray then u r directed to medic room for xray.

Rest, ur address in uk , that's all. happy landing.

By the way can u read the note i posted abt EC 2 years. I m already in UK (may 04) working,, I wnt to figure out about this 2 year stamping is this valid or do i make to any mails etc to Hofice.
