Hey,
I didn't think I'd be posting so soon, but this process has really frazzled my brain and my critical thinking abilities. I was born in the UK but recently received my naturalisation certificate and was given guidance on applying for my first British passport.
I've searched this forum and Reddit for some answers - a lot of the advice was for people born outside of the UK or born in the EU. I was born after 1983 and my parents weren't settled in the UK at the time of my birth. My mum passed away (no passport for her either at the time of my birth) and my dad doesn't have his marriage certificate or his passport at the time of my birth.
Am I right in understanding that I have to send all my documents, including my birth certificate and their (nonexistent) marriage certificate - is this more about clarifying British descent by birth? Or can I just send in my naturalisation certificate and my current passport?
I might be completely overthinking this but would appreciate some guidance.
