FIRST BRITISH PASSPORT, WE NEED PROOF OF ADDRESS

Hi All,

Applied for first British passport after ceremony, after I received email confirming they have my documents, a new email came through requesting proof of address which is wired after fulfilling the residency requirements for naturalisation, they asked to send one of the documents below,

is P60, payslips, bank statements ok? Has anyone come across this before ?


a national identity card or equivalent
a valid visa or residence permit
a tax record, for example a letter from a tax authority
an educational record, for example a school report
employment records, for example an official letter from your employer
any letter sent to you from a central, regional or local government department
a medical or health card
a driving licence
a voter’s card
an immigration document
If you cannot find these items we need we may be able to accept a bank statement, a utility bill or anything like this. We can accept printed online bank statements and utility bills.

Anyone can assist or faced this before?

You were told what to provide, ask your employer for a formal letter that confirms your address.

I have sent my P60 which has my address along with most recent payslip and bank statement, would that be okay ? They have mentioned below as well on email. Hooping this is ok ?

You could have asked your employer for a letter as advised above. Probably wise to do so in case what you sent isn't accepted.

Thank you, I’ve seen people sent payslips before as it’s an official letter from employer and got accepted however I will ask my employer to issue a letter confirming where I leave, keep you posted on this thread
