FLR(HSMP): how to put net pay figure in finances section?

Post by rosary » Wed Apr 25, 2007 3:37 pm

Hi guys,

I am going to apply for FLR (HSMP) by switching from WP to HSMP. I have got HSMP approval letter. When filling the FLR (HSMP) form, I have a question about how to put the figure of net pay in "your home and Finances and Sponsorship" section (page 3, section 5). Both my husband and I are working, should I put the sum of net pay of my husband and mine or just put the figure of my net pay? It seems that the form only asks my net pay, but I am afraid that my salary compared with the rent we pay (almost half of my salary) is not strong enough. By the way, my husband has his own HSMP, I have one daughter as my dependent in my FLR(HSMP) application.

I mentioned in cover letter that both my husband and I have salary, but I am not sure the caseworker will read the cover letter carefully.

Thanks in advance!

He rosary,

Only one of you needs an HSMP - do you know this? On yours, they will only want your income considered against points. I would definitely attach a brief letter explaining your husbands income.

Hi,

Thanks for reply.
I am switching from WP to HSMP, so there are two steps. I have already got HSMP approval letter. This is second step for FLR applicaiton, the salary information is not for claim points, but for enough fund to maintain and accomodate myself and dependent. Due to the big change of immigration rule from last year, my husband and I decided to have independent HSMPs so that we have bigger chance to get PR.

I have sent out FLR application this morning. What I did is
(1) mentioned in cover letter that both my husband and I have salaries.
(2) In section 5 "Your Home and Finances and Sponsorship" (page 3) of FLR (applicaion), I circle "your parter" in question "Do you or your partner (or both) pay any mortgage or rent for your home?" and "If you have answered yes, how much do you or your partner (or both) pay each month?" to show that my husband pays rent for our home. Then enter the figure of MY salary in question "Are you working in the UK? If you have answered yes, what is your net pay each month?"
(3) submitted both our joint account bankstatement and my husband's bankstatements to show net pay
