FLR(IED) extension Payment Error Application returned

Post by technician » Tue May 02, 2006 1:39 pm

Hello Seniors,

I applied for FLR(IED) and the application was received on 20/04/2006 via special recorded deliver.

I phoned to the HOME OFFICE and the officer told me that there is some problem with my HSBC Master Credit card payment error and the application is returned back to me. The credit card has not been charged as told by the bank.

I am very confused and in tension what to do ??

Please help and provide guidance??

i had a very similar situation resulting in me having to submit my application three times before it finally went through. The first time my credit card company thought the charge was fraudulent and tried to contact me. I was overseas on holiday and when they couldn't get in touch they blocked the charge. Home Office sent my application back to me. I submitted a second time and after the package sat in Doncaster for a week they returned it saying there was a problem with the card. I called my bank and they said that the Home Office never even attempted to apply the charge.

It was returned a second time. The third time I used a different credit card and printed out a completely new payment form. Thankfully it went through the third time and i received my reference number on April 24th.

It's frustrating (and gets expensive FedEx'ing the application three times), but try not to worry. Submitting a bank cheque might be better.

Best wishes

Hello,

Postal orders are the best answer to payment to the home office.
