Looking for some information to reassure me that I'm on the right track. I have a 36 hour contract supermarket job which pays in excess of 19k gross. 4 weekly pay over 13 periods. I also have cash saving of 21.k accumulated over a number of years in my own name.

My wife's visa due to expire middle of May 2021.
I will thus be providing payslips under category A from December 2020 1649 Jan 1166 Feb 1340 march 1520April 1520and May 1520 average over 6 months 17430 plus my 21k savings.

I have had a newborn January 1st and took paternity leave which strangely the manager put down as authorised leave paid and then another manager finished off the following week timecard with a different pay code paternity leave paid will that matter.

I had 1 absence unpaid due to dependent in December 2020 and 1 absence Unpaid non dependent related in February 2021. Will these unpaid absences or paid paternity affect me in my category A application? Other than that have been continuously employed since November 2016 with this employer.

Thanks for the reply it is non salaried role same as when I selected in 2018 application but only in 2020 that I secured an increase in contacted hours.

Problem is IF I was to choose the slips prior to December they would include paid sick leave, and a substantial amount of unpaid and reduced hours due to sickness and dependent leave.

If the employment is non salaried, you just need to do the average by adding your last 7 wages payslips divide it by 28 x 52 to get the annual average amount and it doesn't matter about unpaid leave since it is not salaried employment where the lowest is taken into account.

I was under the impression that the home office wanted last 6 months x12 rather than converting into weekly average over the year. If that is the case I might not even have to rely on my savings possibly to boost the income requirements.

That would be the case if you are paid monthly but you are paid 4 weekly so therefore you would need 7 payslips. If you compute the formula above thus giving you the amount you need then, you do not need to add your savings.
