FLR (FP)

Hi all,
I have applied for my first extension for FLR (FP) last November and i haven’t got any response nearly six months of been waiting, but I wanted to ask about something i have applied under (unmarried partner ) but i don’t know what was they giving me the first 2.5 years visa on my child or just my partner as it was saying ( family life or private life granted )
So when i was making the application i chose partner route first extension and I completed as unmarried partner route i don’t know that was the right answer to my first visa granted or i make it wrong i have been living with my partner and son for 4 years now the only thing is that i don’t meet the financial requirements and as i see most of the people here they applied on the FLR (FP) they have taken their passport they didn’t take my passport they just scanned it??
Can anyone help and let me know with application that I completed is right or i need to do anything else ?
