FLR (M) - Wife's Middle Name missing from one council tax bill

Post by benindahous » Wed Nov 29, 2023 5:42 pm

Hello,

My wife and I have been living together on a UK spouse visa for the past 2.5 years and are about to apply for the extension visa - FLR (M).

Throughout the past 2.5 years we have lived in two properties and for both we have a joint council tax bill. On the bill for the first property, all names are fine but on the most recent council tax bill for our current property, my wife's middle name is missing - the bill still mentions our first and last names correctly.

Will this be a problem for the application? Do we need our council to issue a new bill with the corrected name or can we submit a cover letter explaining the issue? The council could take some time to correct which is the issue and also, we are using the existing council tax bill as part of the 2 years of cohabitation evidence.

Thanks!

Not necessary to go through all that hassle. Most items of correspondence will not reflect all names.

Thanks!

Thank you so much!! Just one more question.

When we did the UK Spouse Visa application 2.5 years ago, we submitted my wife's degree certificate along with a NARIC certificate which stated her equivalent degree level and English language classification. Now, the organisation NARIC has become ECCTIS and the visa form mentions that we need to provide the ECCTIS certificate. Will the NARIC certificate issued 2.5 years ago still work for this application? Can we re-use the same document along with the degree certificate?

Thank you!

Yes you can use it. NARIC = ECCTIS; was only a name change after Brexit.
