EC for Dependents other than spouse and children

Post by cdraina » Tue Oct 09, 2007 1:22 pm

Hi friends,

I understand that I can apply for my spouse/child's EC along with mine (HSMP based).

My Grandmother, Mother and younger sister stay with me and are financially dependent on me. I want to take them along with me to the UK.

Question:
----------

1. Can I file their application along with mine for the EC?
2. If not, what other options do I have?

People with similar circumstances please share your experiences.

You're on HSMP? People on visas can only bring in their partners and dependent children. No allowances for siblings or parents. You will need permanent residency or citizenship before that is possible.

You could try outside the rules, but you will need mitigating circumstances, and I feel it is going to be next to impossible.

There is already a duplicate thread with the same set of questions detailing the ages of the concerned people.

As mentioned earlier the chances are almost zero...
