For HSMP- resigned from current job, now in UK on dependent

Post by secondmented » Wed Feb 06, 2008 4:01 pm

HI,

I need some help here... I have actually resigned from my job and now in UK on dependent. I want to apply for HSMP by Feb08 end.

I have few clarifications for that... Would be immensly happy if somebody can guide me on this.

1. I have the payslips from Oct06-Oct07(12 months) duely signed and supporting bank statments. will this be ok as they still fall in the 15 months period??

2. Do I need to give any proof of properties, FDs etc to support my application??

3. Do I need to attach another set of attested documents along with the originals or just plain set of copies is enough??

4. Is it madatory to be employed while applying for HSMP??

5. would u suggest me to apply now or after March? Do you have any idea as when they are going to stop fresh applications to switch over to the new pattern.

I can see many knowledge people in this form. Hope to get a helpful suggestion from you all..

thanks a lot in advance.

Its ok..but apply in this month itself.

No need to provide for Initial HSMP application.

Only Originals needed.
4. Is it madatory to be employed while applying for HSMP??
Haven't mentioned in the guidence.

You are in a dependent visa so eligible to work in UK.I would suggest you to find the job and after a year switch to HSMP or Tier 1.

Thanks a lot for your clarifications..

I have one more question, I am here in UK on dependant and now planning to apply for HSMP. If I get my HSMP application approved, do I have to go back home to apply for entry clearance or I can apply from here in UK to switch my dependent to a HSMP work permit.

I don't see any of the clauses in the Guidance which talks about this.

Thanks very much.

Hi secondmented,
Cooldude has mentioned everything correctly. Just follow that

additionally try to submit your last year P60 tax return through it is not covering the whole period, that will help your application

Since you are in dependant Visa now, if you get your HSMP approved, You should go back to your home country for Visa stamping. Because Dependant Visa is not eligible for incountry switch.

Only you require to goback to home country for EC and your spouse can stay here

HSMP for Spouse

Post by yoga_yoga » Thu Feb 07, 2008 4:56 pm

Hi Guys
I got HSMP and in UK.

My wife is in India and she too is eligible for HSMP.

So if we apply for her HSMP rather than dependant visa, are there any issues with this? Will this create problem during FLR or ILR any ways?

All comments are welcome.

Regards
Yoga

Hi yoga_yoga,

If you already got HSMP extension and if your next application is only ILR, then your spouce having HSMP / Dependancy visa wont make any difference. Under both Visas she can work. And anyway when you get ILR she too going to get that. (If she is in Uk for atleast 2 years I think not sure)

But if you are in intial HSMP visa / work permit I will stongly suggest to make your spouce to apply for HSMP if she is eligible. One of the main advantage is suppose if you dont qualify for HSMP extension in last minute and if your spouse is under HSMP atleast you no need to go back to home country since you can become dependant of your spouse at any time

If anybody is in workpermit, I will suggest the same because if we loose the job for which we got work permit we will be in very miserable position. In that case having spouse under HSMP is always advantageous

I dont think it will create any problem for both getting ILR at same time. But better consult with experts. I am not sure about that

But even if it creates problem, she can again switch back to dependant visa anytime she wish
