Forename inconsitency Irish Grandparent

I have found and submitted all the right documents however my Grandfather used slightly different forenames on his marriage certificate than what he was born with and the FBR has asked me for "evidence" of the name changes. This wont have been done and I expect he switched in and out of his middle name and first name over his life. Has anyone else had this? Will the FBR simply refuse my application? TIA

You could try to send a notarized explanatory letter. If any parents (or aunts and uncles ) are still alive get them to do the same. Not sure how old grandparents but add any other documents (i.e-Censuses ) you can find showing variations.
