France schengen appointment experience

Post by Divu » Mon Apr 29, 2019 9:31 am

I waited for 2 months to get this appointment and when I finally did go, I was asked to rebook and leave the premises in 2 minutes of my entry! I have booked flight tickets and also reserved the hotels.

So, when I registered my information on TLS at that time, I had my old passport so booked it with my old passport number. But later, I renewed my passport. So the passport number clashed with the application form and the initial TLS registered account.

Due to this reason, they said, I cannot go through to the appointment and need to rebook. The staff were rude and inhuman and wouldn’t even talk to you than to say “we cannot do anything about it”. I spend a whole day planning this trip, paid for train tickets to travel to London, and also took a day off! The next available appointment is only on May 30th! My planned trip is on May 11th.

I was super upset about this whole thing, mainly for the way I was treated, and I went straight to France consulate to seek help only to get snapped at by harsh security professionals.

I called TLS call centre several times and finally, later in the day, someone managed to give me an appointment directly through the consulate on 22 of May! I would still lose my money on flights and all efforts!

Is there a way around this? All agencies are filled up and have no appointment. I find this whole thing absolutely ridiculous that you cannot change one number in the system and you reject the appointment!! No consideration what so ever! Why do they even ask us to book tickets if there is no guarantee of getting a visa!
