French partner immigrating

Hi all,

My girlfriend and I have been together, visitng each other frequently for 4 years. She has finally finished her degree, in France, and is looking to move in with me in the UK.

I'm sure many of you can relate to pouring over multiple visa requirements, as we have. But hopefully someone can give us some clarity, or guidance.

Her situation; French National. Degree in Art (which I believe is on the skilled workers list). Self employed.

My situation; University Student, UK Citizen since birth.

I am really confused over how we should approach this. She wants to move over to work, but neither of us have £60k savings.

We have looked at the family visa, working visa, EEU settlement scheme (unsure if she is applicable for it?), maybe even becoming civil partners whilst she visits. I maybe wrong but as we haven't lived together for 2 years, many of these aren't options for us.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

One option may be for her to find a skilled job with a licenced sponsor in the UK.

Alternatively, if you get married or enter into a civil partnership she could apply for a family visa (needs £18,600 annual income or cash savings or some combination of the two).
