Friend Wants to Marry Illegal

My friend wants to marry his girlfriend but has just found out she entered the UK illegally - probably using a false passport (not sure). He is committed and wants to consider the best option to go about legalising her.

What is the best approach to this situation can they be married in the UK so as to get a certificate of marriage here in the UK - before travelling to apply from home country.

If they apply for a COA then ukba may come and arresst her on her wedding day as they will find out that she's an illegal overstayer.

It would be best if both of them got married in her home country and she applied from there. Her overstay will not count against her. However, she may be refused under 320(11) as she used a false passport.

Personally I would forget her and at the same time dump her.

If not when she becomes legal,then she will probally dump your friend. Once a liar , always a liar and decietful......sorry its just my opinion,cos I have seen it so many times in my life

maybe we shouldnt rush to judge without hearing the full story. maybe she entered as a child with her parents or maybe she has now reformed.

What i think the OP's friend needs to do is to find out as much information as possible and also to be aware of the likely complications that they may face which may include being refused the spouse visa and having to possibly live in another country instead of the UK.
