FSW - Funds Maintenance - Gifted Funds acceptable?

I am applying for FSW but do not have sufficient funds in my bank account. According to the requirements, there should be minimum of 14 k Canadian dollars for 2 people.

My parents are ready to 'gift' (not lend) me this amount for my settlement in Canada. I am not sure if this is acceptable by CIC?

The have mentioned on thier website that you can not borrow money but I do think this is borrowing.

Anyone who had this experience?

That will be acceptable with a letter stating that the funds are gift and do not need to be returned.
