Funds Proof

Hi,

I have one query.

I have given my uncle Rs. 50,000 in Nov 2007 and I transferred this amount from my bank account to his account online. My uncle returned back the money Rs. 50,000 in April 2008 but deposited in my account by cash.

My question is:

Do I need to provide any proof for this deposit as it falls outside 3 months from now.

If I need to show any proof then I have only the bank statement for transactions that I transferred to his account. Apart from this does the EC guys expect any other kind of proofs.

As per my conversation with Chennai Visa enquiry -

Applicants must provide documentary evidence detailing the source of any funds that have entered
their account(s) within the last 3 months, for example fixed deposits, receipts and/or legal documents
relating to the sale of assets. Any amount taken as loan must be available in the bank.

So, if there are some major transactions within 3 months, it is better to show the source of funds else it is not required I guess.

Anyone with more info on this correct me if I am wrong.
