Further leave to remain

Post by Mbz238 » Wed Dec 27, 2023 9:41 pm

Hello Members!
As I am international student here.
My BRP will expire on 01/01/24. And due to holidays am unable to get new CAS till 10/01/23 from University as I applied for extension and surely will grab that. So what should I do till 10/01/24 to keep myself legal here.
Many thanks.

I would wait to see if the University extends the CAS because you will be an overstayer at the point. So absolutely no guarantees they will issue you a CAS. If they don’t issue a new CAS essentially you have to leave and if you overstay beyond 14 days it will be taken into consideration at future applications.

There is nothing you can do to bridge the gap other than applying for another form of leave.

Are you switching from a different type of visa, or extending a Student visa?

If the latter, why do you need to extend, given that a Student visa normally covers the full length of the course plus 4 months' wrap-up time?
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.
