gap between appeal withdrawal and fresh application

Is it really important that someone makes a fresh application after getting conformation receipt of appeal withdrawal from court or can the application be made spontaneously just on the day of appeal withdrawn? my only concern is what if the application comes back as invalid if the home office doesnt know anything about withdrawal. gurus please comment

Although they should be able see in their records that you have withdrawn your appeal but you can also, by all means, write a covering note with your application & you should be fine. Also, you have upto 28 days to apply for leave to remain on any basis.

@ tanvir1985th, you should go through this member's topic to get an idea of someone who was able to withdraw appeal and then applied same day.
