Gap in experience

Post by suryahsmp » Thu Jan 17, 2008 6:30 am

Hi ,

I completed my education in 2000 and after that I have looked after my cousins business for 3 years. After that I got a chance in IT sector and started working. I dont have any experience letters or proofs for these three years as it is my cousins business. Can I show those three years as a gap or this will be a problem if I apply for HSMP.

bye

Hi Suryahsmp:

The current HSMP guidelines don't ask for experience letters. They just ask for proof of income, education, etc.

As long as you meet the point criteria, and can prove the specific points that you're claiming, you should be fine.

Good luck!

Experience

Hi,

Thats fine when applying for HSMP approval but when applying for EC I need to submit my work experience letters along with other documents. So does this gap of 3 years after my education creates any problem.

Regards
Surya
