GAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by oyoyo13 » Thu Dec 01, 2011 5:16 pm

Hello,

I got my hsmp in june 2007 and it was due for extension in june 2009, however i had some issues with application which didn't get resolved
until July 2010 when i was finally issued with my Tier 1 visa. my Tier1 visa however was not backdated and starts from july of 2010.

I am thinking about applying for ILR in june next year and would like to know if the GAP would affect my application. Ideally June 2007 to June 2012 is five years.

Need some guidance please.

Thanks

Explain the issues.

Sent in my application for myself and my family(wife and baby) and I noticed that they only took payment for just 2 people. I called and called and called. And was told my application was being processed. it was returned to me 2 months later and i immediately filled out the forms informed my bank about payment and sent it in again. Same issue again.

When it was returned now , Home office said it was out of time and also that i was short of 380 pounds from my target earnings and to leave the UK. I now had to get a JR which wasn't successful and took a while.

I was lucky to still be working and adviced by an OISC barrister to make fresh application which i made and paid for by check. Application was successful and i was now issued with the 3 years extension. Date wasn't back dated so was issued in 2010 instead of 2009. While original HSMP was granted in June 2007. Can i apply in June next year???????????
