Gap in 10 year Long residence?

Post by miemie » Sat Dec 03, 2011 6:08 pm

I was on student visa from 2001 to 2004 and then switched to hsmp visa. I have gap in my hsmp visas. For example my first hsmp visa expired on 30 Nov 04, however my extended visa didn't start until 15 dec 04 even I sent my application out before the visa expired. Is it considered as gap in my stay? my application was made in country. My current hsmp visa runs out on 08 dec. because i am not working, looking after my child, i have to apply through the long residence route.

Please tell me if I send my visa applicaiton out before the visa runs out, but the new visa started later then the expired visa, is this considered a gap in my visa?

My daughter has a german passport and she is born in london, i wonder whether this helps when they consider my application.

Thanks.
