Gaps between contracts

Post by soir » Sat Jul 31, 2010 1:47 am

Hi, I have searched through the board but still cannot find an answer to my question:

I currently hold a Tier 2 visa that is valid till end of 2011. My current work contract will end at the end of Sept 2010, but due to some administrative problems, there is a possibility that the employer won't sign a new contract with me until mid-late October 2010, meaning that I'll have 1/2 to 1 month gap between my old contract and my new one. I will still be hired by the same employer and the same job.

In this case, will I have to apply for a new Tier 2 visa? Or can I resume working under the current visa?

I have looked through the UKBA website but can't seem to find any information on this either. Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks!
