general info needed. uk resident marrying turkish national

Post by ekcet » Mon Oct 13, 2014 9:43 am

Morning all, I am new to the forum looking for some advice. I am marrying my fiancee next yr and we hope to live in uk. At the moment I earn 21, 000 but I am on a secure contract for nine months which will then either stay at that level of pay or I will be moved to a lower tier 19, 000.
My partner works in a company earning around 2000 tl monthly he got this job last month to save for our wedding. Prior to this he was a student .
We were thinking about marrying in a registery office in Istanbul after around six months of my pay being at the higher rate, applying for visa then having a wedding party In his home city when, hopefully the visa is granted before we move to uk.
We have already been denied visitors visa twice. Would this go against us? We want the idr visa I think.
I am worried about my pay, if it is a good idea to apply sooner than later.
I also heard I needed to provide one years bank statements. ... I thought it was six months so I was wreckless with my money. I had a parent die so the past three months dont look good on paper, no bills or loans but wild spending.
I also live at home to be closer to my family in our grief but I pay no bills. Should I take on the Internet or cable bill to prove I live here?
Sorry so very confusing! The fear of being rejected haunts me.
Thankyou for taking time to read if anyone could shed some light on my problems I would be extremely grateful.
Thankyou!

If you have been employed by the same employer for at least 6 months - then you only need to supply 6 months bank statements. This is known as 'category A'.

If you haven't been with the same employer for 6 months - then you need to be providing 12 months of payslips and 12 months of bank statements.

In terms of the state of your bank account and bills - that has no baring except for your income. Providing that's above the threshold - it's fine.

Providing you have official letters (HMRC, bank accounts etc) coming to your family's house - that's proof enough.
