General Tier 1: 2nd Extension + New Born + ILR

Post by Ktk123 » Thu Mar 20, 2014 5:14 pm

Hi

I along with my dependents am on General Tier 1 visa. Below are some relevant details:

1. General Tier 1 (2 yr) valid from 30th June 2010.
2. Entered UK on 20th August 2010 ( i.e 51 days late).
3. Then I was outside UK for more than 180 days (not employed in uk) during first year.
4. Got first extension (3 yr) along with dependents and is valid till June 2015.
5. Blessed with New born in Nov 2013. Born in UK. Have not applied for his Visa yet.
6. Will be due for ILR in Nov 2015.
If I apply for new born visa, it will be valid till our first extension (i.e June 2015). Since I was more than 180 days outside UK, therefore in any case, we will need second extension. In order to avoid two trips to PEO and also to distribute cost (2nd Extension and ILR) over period of time.

Question : Is it possible to do our second extension and the new born first visa at same time at PEO appointment?.

Thanks in advance.

Yes its possible. We did the same with my daughter's visa application. I included her as dependant on my extension application and it went through fine. She didn't had visa before that.

There's no requirement for new born to apply for leave to remain, if not travelling.
