i have been given 30 day Vignette sticker along with my wife and three children, my wife has serous problem and will not be able to travel to the Uk and my children will not be able to travle. i am thinking of travelling alone, to collect my BRP along with their BRP, would that be possibel,of course I will have their passports with me, i will collect the BRPs go back to my home country and then bring my family after my wife condition gets better. would that be ok
No that will not work as they won't have been 'stamped in' or entered the UK. If they do not travel within the 30 days, they will have to apply for another 30 day vignette at a fee.

You should have waited then to apply for your family till they were ready to travel.

Hello everyone,

My 30 days vignette will expire by 11th May. My husband's visa was refused and I have filed administrative review. In case it's successful, I will need a replacement visa. In online application should I chose vignette transfer?? And then state the reason?

You cannot have the dates changed unless the error was from UKV&I. You must apply for a replacement visa.

Contact local visa application center to check the process of applying for a replacement 30 days vignette (e.g. - which options to select when applying online).
Hello everyone,

I found these posts very helpful and wanted to get your thoughts on the problem I faced recently. My wife and I have applied for a Tier 2 ICT Long Term Migrant Staff and Partner visa in August 2016. We received our passports with the approval. It was clear in my wife's application that the date of intended travel is Oct 30th 2016 but the vignette is set to expire 27th Sep. So, I would consider this an error by UKV&I. What is the process of changing this date and what are the documents required? Thank you!

If you read the whole thread, you would have seen the advice given by geriatrix. The same applies to your case.

Hi all

I need some help regarding an issue that although treated in this forum , is still not clear to me.

My wife got her visa today for a tier 2 dependent. However the visa sticker expires before her intended travel date mentioned in the application. So this is an error from UKVI and not from us. In this case, what would be the process to sort this out ?
FYI intended travel 27dec
Expiry date of sticker 1s dec
Many thanks for your help!

If error is from UKVI, then request correction.

Hi everyone,
I made the application online for vignette transfer today and need some information regarding this process. My appointment is on this Monday and I am little confused because nobody seems to have any idea about this process. Am I supposed to give interview again? What supporting documents do i need to submit to UK visa office?

Hi All

I am really looking forward to an urgent help. I am a post doctoral research Fellow in London on Tier 2 general migrant VISA and now working in London. My wife alonside me applied for her Tier 2 General migrant dependent VISA in January 2017 and the vignette sticker expired in March. She could not travel with me as she had a troubled pregnancy and now finally wants to comeover. Could you please suggest what exactly is the VISA category (type and sub-type) for applying a replacement for old the 30 day vignette sticker. The weblick is not much of help as it does not clearly suggest the category (type and sub-type). If I attampt Other-Other-Vignette transfer, the pop up suggests that it is for transferring the sticker to a new passport, which is just not our case. Any help would be much appreciated, as we did not receive any help from our VISA application centre. And My wife is really struggling back in India with our newborn daughter, for whom I am applying a dependent child 3 years Tier 2 VISA, of course.

Best regards
Swagata

Hi everyone
We have successfully been approved a new 30 day travel vignette. Due to us not knowing the new rules regarding the 30 day window and because we had planned travel before heading to the UK our vignette lapsed. Therefore we reapplied from Switzerland (which is not our home country), paid the fee, went to another biometrics appointment then sent off the application. Passports were returned within 1 week! We didn't supply any additional supporting documents but explained in the application forms our situation.

The whole process was quite stressful as whenever we emailed or called for assistance we had mixed advice. Even the guy at the Geneva office where we had our biometrics appointment told us we had the incorrect form and would need to reapply for the entire application. Lucky we did not listen to him!

I am currently having Tier 2(ICT) long term staff migrant visa stamped on my passport.
It is valid from 10-JAN-2018 to 09-FEB-2018.

My Start Date as per COS is 15-JAN-2018. But my travel date may get delayed to somewhere in March2018.

I have 2 questions mentioned below:
1. What is the procedure and applicable Fee to extend the Validity of entry clearance in visa stamp to travel later.
2. As today is 24-JAN-2018 and i will travel in Mar2018, Start date in COS is passed now. will this thing have an impact?

I am confused and i need help please.

£169 to change the visa vignette. You apply for a new vignette. They don't 'extend' the existing one you have.

See also UKCISA's advice:
When your visa is issued wrote:You should use the same online application form [^] but you should select the following options:
Reason for Visit: Other
Visa Type: Others
Visa Sub Type: Vignette Transfer
At the end of the application form you should use the 'Any other information' field to explain that you have been granted a visa but you need a new 30-day vignette as you have not been able (or will not be able) to travel to the UK before the end of the 30-day vignette that you have been issued.

ECB17.3 Replacing a 30 day short validity (travel) vignette.

My partner has received her vignette sticker to travel to the UK, there is a typo on it the initial for the sponsor is incorrect , could this affect her entry to the UK , immigration UK have been contacted regarding this but have not received a reply yet.

Hi Guys,
i am also in same situation, my Vignette is expiring on 14 Oct 2018, and I can't travel before 23rd Nov 2018, so can you please tell me when do I need to apply for Vignette transfer, after expiry of current Vignette?
Basically I want to know is there any rule that we should apply transfer of vignette only within a period after expiry of vignette?
Help in this regard would be much appreciated.
