Hi Senu,
Congratulations on acquiring British citizenship for your daughters, it certainly strengthens your case, do you mind sharing your experience doing S3 stateless applications? Your history including the evidence you submitted in making the applications .This may help or inspire others wanting to go through the same route. Thank you, wish you all the best of Luck and hope you get your stay soon.
Hi,
thank you. of course I would like to give information and from my experience it was very easily we got grant daughters stateless application. within 6 weeks she got her nationality certificate. unfortunately I have register my elder daughters birth in my country otherwise they both will be citizen now. I have did it through a solicitor lawyer name and details removed by moderator. I have submitted her uk birth certificate, school letter confirming her attendance, proof of letter from sri lankan high commission that her birth not registered with them ,two passport photos. two british citizen need to give reference .
Wow, that was super quick according to Home office standards. Thanks for sharing
Hi, as I am waiting for my fresh claim so long I feel over the moon with this success very short term. I collected her certificate today and seen its been issued on 28th January which is exactly two weeks after biometric.
let me add few more details as I forgot to mentioned before. you need provide one address proof and parents passport ,in my case we didn't have our passport with us (passport at home office )so we just sent passport photo copy.
Hi Senu,
Thanks for adding a few more details and sharing, it will certainly help or inspire someone. All the best

Hi @ Dede,
You have sent the information that the home office has requested you to do so and have submitted your Biometrics, so waiting is all you can do at the moment. You have played your part from your end. 8 weeks is well within the timeline of people submitting their biometrics and being granted their stay so dont be scared you have strong case and I am sure you will be granted.

Hello Yahayas,

You know real life is not always represented on the internet. You should have walked into or travel a bit to law firms in your area and enquire first. It is better to have a solicitor close to you than one where you have to travel. I don't know if travel expenses to see a solicitor are covered, that is highly unlikely. I was moved to a new area and it costs me about £10 to see my solicitor,I will change solicitor if I see the need. You can only get travel expenses covered when your travel is directed by the Home Office, you can enquire from the lawyer. The other expenses that may be covered are doctors report if the GP takes money to write one.

Best regards.

one of our friend family granted their visa based on child 7 year route within 8 weeks after further submission made. don't know why it takes this long for us.

HI @ Senu,
Peoples cases and individual circumstances differ, it also depends with the person handling your case at the home office. Some people get granted quickly and some people have to wait a long time but get granted in the end.So hopefully you will get your decision soon as you have been waiting long time, its not easy to say this but patience is the only key. Good luck

The seven year route is quite similar but its not automatic that you get granted but I believe the majority of people do get granted. Nothing is ever straight forward when you are dealing with the home office. All you can do is prepare a strong case for submission , gather as much evidence as possible in support of your application. In your case, you are continuing to build your case, you are gathering further evidence in relation to your daughter becoming a British citizen. If you have applied for your daughters British passport, send it to the home office as soon as possible , this might again prompt your case worker to have a look at your case . You now 2 qualifying children and the other being British should also strengthen your case. You have done the hard work and been on this journey for long so, I think your breakthrough is near. All the best

As an asylum seeker waiting for initial decision, I gave birth to a British child recently and I sent The birth certificate to the home office via migrant help. Do I have to send my child passport as well to show British nationality or is the birth certificate sufficient?. Also I’m looking to send recent evidence of mental health diagnosis? Can this still be sent even though I had my main interview nearly six months ago. Also I didn’t mention an additional likely risk of FGM my daughters could be facing as this wasn’t asked and I was heavily pregnant and inexperienced. Can I mention that now or not in order not to damage my credibility even though it’s the truth.
Someone advice me on this please.
Thanks.

Hello everyone .. please I need advice because I dobt understand what home office email me below.

It maybe helpful if I explain that whilst we aim to make timely decisions on all asylum claims, some claims may take longer if they are complex. I can confirm that we are aware of your asylum claim and we are striving to conclude your claim within the next four weeks, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Can I know the meaning of .. barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Thank you.
I understand that you haven't had your main interview yet. However, the HO email seems very positive as if they are saying we are going to take decision and no need for the main interview. In this case it would not be possible to refuse your application without interviewing you first and therefore you are very much likely to be granted without interview.
