Hi Yayah I’m sorry you going through some stress, When I called them I told them I have a work permit (asylum seeker) they booked a date for me to go into Job centre face to face appointment.it’s was just under 5 minutes. Only to confirm name, age, sign some paperwork and they made a photocopy of my new arc card proof of address they asked me to bring.they also gave me some paperwork back. Yes your new arc will be received via TNT they will texts you. They never even knock just saw it on the floor in a brown envelope. Which area do you live? I live in Liverpool I’m sure why they think u don’t have ID when your arc is ID and the work permit paperwork is proof you go a work permit.

Hi SheilaM,

I hope you are fine and doing Great as usual, Yes little stress is there when it comes to hold a call for more than two hours :) with Department of Work and Pension, I came to the conclusion that Asylum Seekers have to have the face appointment at Job Centre Plus in order to apply for the NI number, its a RULE ..... so I have to wait until they resume it.

Thanks for the clarification for everything, and now I am relaxed and waiting for my New ARC Card otherwise I was confused that i have to apply it through the Migrant Help or directly from the GOV.UK.

I am living in Stoke-On-Trent which is situated between Birmingham and Manchester.

I'll update you accordingly when I'll receive the New ARC Card.

Have a very good day.

Kind Regard's.

Please I would like to ask if there is anyone on this platform who have gone through the NRM process. I was asked to fill a personal circumstances questionnaire form in order for the home office to make a conclusive decision. And I need that positive decision to support my fresh claim. I would to know if anyone has done the same and how long one has to wait in order to receive a decision. Thanks

When did you get your reasonable grounds decision, and how long have you been waiting. Every case is different, but it's not easy going through nrm,I waited 3years for a conclusive grounds decision and still waiting for the initial asylum decision.

I received my reasonable grounds decision in October 2019. But a week before Christmas December 2020 I received a personal circumstances questionnaire to feel in order for them to make a conclusive decision. That's why I would like to know after one submit the form, roughly how long does it take before receiving a decision

If your case is been with them for more than a year, the ask for personal circumstances questionnaire. I have filled 2 of them so far. But it's an indication as well that they are ready to give a decision. After my solicitor pushed them ,I filled one again and after 2 months, I received conclusive grounds decision. Have you got asylum pending, or you been refused before?

Hi Tjam,
I have a fresh claim pending since last year, but I learnt without my conclusive grounds decision a decision on my asylum would not be made. If i may ask, why do you have to fill 2 questionnaires?

Because my case has been pending for over 3 years. They request for update every year.i claimed asylum in 2017 and still not received a decision yet.

Hi Tjam,
When did you receive your positive conclusive decision from nrm? Because with that the home office are supposed to make a decision on your asylum claim as soon possible. The nrm decision comes with the asylum decision. A friend who got her document in April 2019, received both decisions together. Have you asked your lawyer about it ?

A carer us NOT the same as a Paramedic. A paramedic has to be qualified. A carer does not.

Hi can someone help, ho sent my solicitor a mail saying they are ready with my decision however because of the sensitivity of my claim,a senior caseworker has to review it before it will be authorised and sent to me.
Am wondering why they have to review it, because I have not had a decision more than 3 yrs.is this a good sign?

Hi Tjam,
I believe the decision will be good news. I think because your asylum claim is linked with your nrm which has very sensitive information about your trafficking, may be the caseworker wants to make sure he/she has done the right thing.
If I may ask when the nrm sent you the personal circumstances questionnaire, did they give you a date to submit it and for how long after the submission did you receive your positive conclusive decision. The deadline to submit my nrm form was yesterday and would like to know how long to wait for a response.
