Hi, is difficult to get a good solicitor, all they are after is for you to sign legal aid form, after that no advice, from poky to poky, my previous solicitor that represented at court the statement she wrote waa so implicating, I was the person that corrected all the mistake she made in the statement, how can non English person correcting English professional, for example where she suppose to write can not, she will write can, she made almost 7mistake, if I don't understand English that's me finish, you know Home office. hopefully this new solicitor Will be fine, although I won't put my trust in him because I got alot of bad experiences with solicitors, God is my strength, hopefully we will receive good news this April, Boris Johnson spoke about Amenesty on 18th of march this month, I don't know how serious he is.

Hello all
I applied for asylum along with my husband and children in September 2020, we had our screening in October and sent in our preliminary questionaire soon after. Since then we haven't heard anything from home office regarding our case. We are on section 95 support and only just found out that out section 95 grant letter was sent to our previous address. Now we don't know if any further correspondence has been sent to the previous address we stayed in before moving to nass accommodation. Pls I need advice on what to do and the timeline for our main interview and also if it's possible to chase up home office. Thanks

Hello everyone. I am so happy to have joined this forum as I am new to this. I just made a fresh claim/further submissions via email and received a reply telling me my case is now under review. Does any body have any idea how long it will take for them to issue me an ARC? They already have my passport and my previous ARC is expired...
Any help would be appreciated..

Hi welcome,
When did you apply? I applied last yeah September 2020, and my ARC has expired. Did you apply for a new ARC? I haven’t heard anything from them since I made my application

I just submitted at the beginning of March.. So I know I have not been waiting for long. Since September? Have you been asked to submit any biometrics? Or been allocated a case worker?

That’s good, no I have not been asked to do biometrics and not even heard anything since I submitted except for the acknowledgment letter when I just submitted.
So did you apply for a new ARC? I need to message my solicitor tomorrow and ask her about it

No I haven't asked for any replacement or anything. You're very fortunate to have a solicitor. I haven't found one.. If you don't mind sharing what your solicitor says about new ARC, I would much appreciate it.. Did your previous ARC have right to work?

Yeah I’ll update you when I hear from my solicitor and not the ARC I have doesn't have right to work. Can only apply for that when your application is over 12 months without any response from them.

Hi everyone
Just a quick update , I received letter for my biometrics enrolment after further submissions and HO ASKED to do it in 5 days luckily got appointment in three days and did my biometric
Hopefully they will grant us some form of stay.
Any idea how long they take to make a decision after biometrics
I received this letter after 29 months of further submissions thanks
Hi Khatoon , congratulations on receiving the biometric enrolment letter from Home office .It is a positive sign and you should start preparing yourself to receive your papers anytime soon possibly in the next month or so. When Home office send biometric letter after further submissions in most cases they grant stay and they will have have likely decided before hand that they are going to grant before sending out biometrics letter. My papers were issued 2 weeks after biometrics but it took longer for them to be released because they were waiting for the BRP to be produced and it ended up taking about 8 weeks and both decision letter and BRP arrived at the same time. It all depends on how busy they are but you should start preparing for your freedom soon . All the best wishes :D

Thank you so so much!! Its odd because my previous ARC had right to work.. I've always had right to work since I first claimed asylum..

Wow really? I’ve never seen anybody that was given right to work from the onset of seeking asylum. I pray I hear good news soon, waiting is hard and tiring... phew

Hi thanks a lot for taking time and answering with your own experience, most people say it I take 4-8 weeks let’s see waited for over two years so nothing else we can do , some people receive decision followed by brp some revive altogether and even some case they call you to make an appointment with dwp I think
Thanks once again and fingers crossed

@GraceyKay
I have asked my solicitor and she said I won’t be entitled to a new card until they have made a decision on my case so just leave it the way it is.

Hi Indu, last week I asked my solicitor to chase up my case and today my solicitor forwarded home office reply to me. Which says my case has been pirotise, please do you know what home office means by pirotise, I know the meaning but when home office uses the word pirotise I find it a bit difficult to understand, maybe because of lockdown my memory is going up and down. Thanks

Hi @ Filo1981, I am good thanks. It may be that the home office is conducting background checks like Police checks etc or it may be that they are just using it as a standard response" copy and paste ", I wouldn't worry too much. All the best wishes

Hi still waiting 2020
I was first time heard something like that I think it’s better to speak to your lawyer about it go and speak to and tell her what’s going to do next because next month they will be open so then they will give decision quickly and did they mention any thing else it’s from your case worker or I mean what do you think when you read the latter they mention any other things

Hi Indu, in the email, Home Office acknowledge that they received my further evidence, Home office has introduce what is called priority case and super priority, priority means important or urgent which means they will decide on my case very soon while super priority means making decisions within 2days, I think is a good news.
