Hi Indu, that's a bit of relief, keeping people for years without decision and without work permit, is inhumane, hope you will put yourself together and find a job. Congrat for that positive news

Hi everyone,

I hope you are well.

We applied for asylum January 2021, we did screening interview and we filled out the questionnaire and also sent all the documents with details of our case in another post. We have not done the substantive interview yet. Two days ago, we received a letter to do Biometrics for BRP. Is this a good sign? What does this mean pls? Is there anyone with a similar case? Thanks,
What is your immigration history? I would say the biometrics are for the substantive interview. Were your biometrics taken during the first interview?

Hi Indu, I will advice you to keep working at the supermarket, getting a job is not easy, I don't think that home office will be upset with you, you got right to work now, have you receive the N I number? Please be careful of what you say not everything you say on this platform because is been monitored.some people here are not genuine, some are looking for information, I remembered last year one of my comment was deleted and that's when I realised that bulky eyes are here.

If a comment was removed it would have been because it breached the forum rules or was inappropriate or more likely because you and user Yahas were posting irrelevant posts.

No one in the forum is "looking for information". None of us work for or are affiliated to UKVI, so don't assume you know anything about members. We are all immigrants who have been through our own journeys volunteering help to others.

I don't understand what the writer means by irrelevant post, can the writer provide a prof? so why haven't I post irrelevant post with Indu, here we go, I remember last year someone made a post here calling asylum seekers scammers and it was also deleted, what did I post with yahas is it not about Section 95 and work permit, I can't believe it .

I see.
That's quite strange. I know biometrics are to be requested after like 1 or 2 years from the day it was taken during your first interview. May be the rules have changed.

Does the letter explicitly say the biomertrics is for the BRP or you are guessing it is for BRP?

When I did mine, I was a student too and my biometrics where only taken once during the first interview.
