Hi All,

I made my claim July, 2017 in London and got invited for a substantive interview in London December 2017. I got a biometric enrolment letter in January 2018 and subsequently got a letter in February 2018 saying ‘delay to asylum claim’. The letter said they were not able to make a decision on my claim within 6 months of my application date and it will be carefully considered and I will hear from them in 1 month. It’s past 1 month and still no news. I was asked to report same day as my substantive interview in London to the Liverpool office and I called informing them I had an interview in London and they asked me to report in January, 2018 which I did and I was asked to report every 6 months and next for July, 2018.

I have also sent in a letter asking for updates as ifs past 1 month with no response.

My questions are:
Anyone ever had similar experience ?
Since my next reporting will be in July, 2018 and it says every 6 months to be agreed. Would I be eligible for a work permit in July as it will be a year since my claim ? If yes, how do I apply for such work permit?
I have never been on NASS support or accommodation and have been living independently without working since my claim.

Hi Munirabid

Can you pls answer my question

I'm really confused I got a letter on the 03/05/17 from the home office requesting me to send 4 passport size photos of my dependant, the letter was saying send 4 passport size photos of your dependant urgently because we are unable to send the BRP form without them. I send the photos of my partner the same day I received the letter and the next day on the 04/05/17 I received a refusal letter. Both of the letters are done on the same day on the 01/05/17 the one requstingfor photos and the refusal one and signed by different people.

So this morning I called the home office to ask if they wanted me to send photos of my baby on that letter I received on the 03/05/17 or they wanted me to send the photos of my partner like I did and the lady I spoke to told me that they want the photos of my baby, so I just sent them Today I'm really confused cos the case is already refused or they just want my baby's photos to put her on the system.

Thanks

Hello..actually you have to write a letter to UKVI requesting work permission OR your solicitor can just email HO for asylum work permit ..you will get letter from HO within a month about the confirmation of work granted and then your BRP will arrive .. as long as u have never worked illegally UKVI will issue your permit

Hello there, just interesting about work permit. Can i claim it after Septmber? I made fresh claim on 27 of September 2017 at Liverpool. At February i`ve got negative from HO and at April the HO has withdrawn the negative decision. So i could claim the work permit on September or just only 1 year would be counted since April? Thank you all

Hi B1gChance,

Your counting starts from April since HO had mad a decision then withdrew it.
