Hi I am new here i claim Asylum May 2018 i have done My screening Interview and main interview i am also in section 95 support and i just recently grant permission to work now how long after this decision will come out any idea any current update pls share Thanks.
Hi there,

As per HO guidelines, they are supposed to make asylum decisions within 6 months. But long delays are usual in complex cases.

1. Did you apply for permission to work, or they gave it on their own?
2. Is it restricted for "short occupation list"?
3. Did you have your biometrics done at Post Office?

Hi guys, how are you all. I am new here. I claim asylum last year main and did my interview October last year but I was asked to do my biometric a week before my big interview. Is 7months plus now that I did my interview and still nothing yet. All together is 1 year and a month that now I claim asylum. I want to ask if it will be ok for me to apply for permission to work? It will be 11 years that I come to uk. I have 3 children all born in uk. my first child was 7years in April 1st and I Pray I am granted soon as the waiting is killing.I am currently studying and I am confused if I apply for permission to work will I still be entitle to benefit when I am granted bcos I am going to apply to university next year and worry if applying for permission to work will not affect me when I am granted? Pls I need advise from anybody that have experience. Thanks

@hey28, thank you. I will check it. I want to ask if they grant me soon will I still be giving access to benefit bcos I live in their accommodation and get money weekly. I am just concern that won’t is affect me if I apply for permission to work? Bcos I am thinking they may say I am already working if they give me permission to work and refuse me benefits when they grant me as I am staring university next year by God’s grace. Pls I need reply from anyone that have experience about this. Thanks

I had my main interview last year February, and did biometrics in March. So I don't know why you are going for a third interview. A bit confusing.

Hi everyone,

Just so curious about the timings. I had my screening late 17 december 2018. I came as a student and so i still go to school. I was granted work permit and right to school. Since then i have not heard from homeoffice. I am kind of disturbed and stressed about everything. Any suggestions on the delay?

Thanks

Hi everyone. Hope all is well with you. Can someone give me an idea how substantive interview goes? I applied for asylum November 2018, I had my screening December 2018 and I received a letter yesterday that I will have my interview on August 1st 2019 at Birmingham enclosed with biometric letter that will be done on the same day. Advise and answers are greatly appreciated.

Hi Everyone
I am in same boat, i apply with my partner flr fp file April 2018 after 6 month they refused because lack of evidence as my soliciter not provide evidence which is very strong and important for my application, so after refusal
change soliciter and submitted reconsideration with evidence,
8 month waiting no response, so my soliciter send chase letter and send PAP LETTER,
Then in response they send letter for reporting every month,
first time visit for reporting centre for reporting, they make small interview, ask me regarding why you can’t go back india,
So explain my same reason which my soliciter wrote in statement,
After that small interview 2nd day received letter from home office,
they suggested me to make appointment with asylum claim in crydon 19july 2019, on screening they give me one stop notice, which say if you already submitted all evidence you don’t need to repeat it,
So now i am also waiting for main interview call any details idea time period for main interview call,

MY MAIN FAIR IS MY DRIVE-RING LICENCE
which is due in next year in February, so if i send it to dvla for renewal they will revoked it,

Any suggestions for Driving licence..

Hello guys,
I'm a single mother with 6 children, 2 born in the uk. Claimed asylum on jan 2019 with all my kids as my dependent and I've been in uk for 4 years, did screening, got sent piq which I filled in a sent back. Now I received invitation for main interview on 29th of aug. Claim is based on my mental health and ptsd as I was raped by gangs who attacked me back home because I turned down drug trafficking and nw diagnosed with HIV and also due to my husband family and stigmatisation back home and my children will be exploited and also my little daughter who is deaf and attends special needs school here.
In the letter I was asked to bring passport photographs of me and my dependent to the interview,is this normal?
Also could someone enlighten me about the interview?
And what are my chance of getting protection?
Thanks.

In most of asylum cases if HO want to grant then Ho invite for biomatric
Hi my cousin was asked to do biometric and the letter was from HO and she went for the interview and she has an interpreter and she was asked to send any documents like medical which she hasn't send to the Ho like recent medical letters.
And she must post them within 5 working days
Is there any sign of positivity
