Collection of BRP with new passport

I am immigrating to UK for the first time and I have received the visa vignette in my passport. However, I had to renew the passport as the passport does not have 6 months' validity which is needed in Dubai (I am traveling to the UK from India via Dubai).

I understand that I will not face any problem in traveling as the visa in the old passport is still valid as long as I am carrying both old and new passport.

However, will I face any problem in collecting the BRP which I should do within 10 days of arrival or before the visa vignette expires? Collecting BRP requires the passport where the visa vignette is attached. However, in my case, that passport is cancelled and I have a new passport in hand. Can I collect BRP by showing both the passports?

While that is an option, it costs me around $400 extra. As I will be traveling with my dependents too, it may be a significant amount which I am trying to avoid.
