FLRFP - Can I use premium service or is it too late.

Post by Divinely Favoured » Mon Jul 22, 2019 10:47 pm

Good evening all,
Firstly I would like apologise for past mistakes and hoping for a solution.

My first 30 months of FLRFP expired in 19th May 2019.
I was going through a lot during that period and couldn’t not submit renewal application until 30th of May 2019. I was able to get a supporting letter from my GP to explain difficulties with my health and reason for late submission, this was done to meet the 14days extra deadline. I asked my lawyer to use the premium service but he said he didn’t realise I said this and used standard service.

Anyway, the current concern now is that my employers are asking for my leave because it expired, I have provided them with home office reference no for out of application made in May. However the HR dept are now asking for email confirmation of my home office application to confirm date of submission.

Can I withdraw this application and go for a new application with premium service. Because I dont want to loose my employment , I am a single parent with a 6yr old British child , I solely cater for two of us without recourse to public funds. I really need my job for our daily survival . Can I use premium service and get quicker response after almost 2 months wait, to avoid any issues at work and to be able to sustain my child and I . Please advise , am so low . Thank you!

There is no need to post duplicate posts all over the forum!!

You made an out of time application so you therefore have no right to work. Your overstay will only be disregarded and your work rights reinstated IF your application for an out of time extension is approved.

FLR FP can take many months, even up to or more than a year.

You cannot apply using super premium service now as you are an overstayer.

It is best to keep to your own topic. In the other topic (where your posts were removed), any posts you make will simply get lost due to all and anyone posting there randomly.

Hi I know you've posted on the other thread so just logged in to reply to you.

I really cannot comment if you can go premium as you have a case lodged already

There's a way to check rights to work if you use your old BRP number perhaps can get something from there?https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work. Show your employer the results?

PSC have shut down now so I'm not even sure if you'll get a next day response considering the lengthy post on these boards about issues with that service. If you need to reapply you'll need your passport and BRP and all of it. You should hear back within 3 months hopefully.

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
08/18 - FLR FP (Partner) PSC - Approved
07/20 - FLR FP to FLR M Switch - Approved, 03/23 FLR M Ext Approved.

Hi Bathanza,
Thank you for your response, much appreciated.
3 months Amen to that . I have been worried sick every single day despite going over expiry date due to ill health.
I will post an update once I hear back from HO. Many thanks.....
