When I use e-gate, and usually they always scan it.

I cannot believe it's the only information they have about me. Should I have sent them the ID cards I have used when I did not have a passport?

I will send them an email tonight in order to have more information.

Hi! Some advice please - my partner is an overstayer of many many years and currently making his Visa application in the proper manner however we need to carry out an SAR check.
The only ID he has is an expired passport and a utility bill. My question is is there any danger of sending the expired passport? Will the office want to see current Visa details in order to run the check?
Obviously we are worried about alerting authorities however we have to run this check for the application....stuck between a rock and a hard place!
Thank you!

You have to fill out the form I linked in the previous post and send it by post, no need to pay, worked well, I got the answer in under two weeks, and as I said the information is a bit hidden, but it does the trick.

Hi all,

I am looking to trace back any time spent outside the UK in the past 5 years but I am struggling to get 2013 and 2014. I just didn't keep any records because I never considered applying for citizenship prior to Brexit :(

Does a SAR give you the datapoints for entry / exit from the country for EU citizens? I am Bulgarian.

thanks!

Hi Amjad,

What did you do finally to certify the photo identification? Did you got SAR without certifying from anyone?

Hi

I have sent them certified copies my identification from solicitor . When you will certify copies of your passport or driving license, do you make sure you write the same wording on copies as per suggested in the application form ?.
I got my SAR within 40 days,

Best wishes,

Amjad

Hello,

Please, does anyone know if I can use Post Office to certify my Photo ID as required for SAR? Is it acceptable by Home Office?

Regards,
Kay

I applied SAR on 9 th July 2018 and solicitor signed true likeness document I posted on 14 th July and they received on 16 th July .

I mentioned reference of current visa application
and previous visa application reference numbers.
Attached my Photo , passport copy and current and past visa copies.

I applied for detailed SAR request, on 13-08-2018 I wrote a letter to UKVI to change my request from detailed to Basic .

Till now no response from UKVI .
I didn't received any SAR .

How long it will take , is there any problem to get SAR if any one application already under processing?

I made a SAR request via home office website. At the end of it, I have been given document checklist where I have to certify my passport photo. Under this option, there are certain people who can certify and they are legal representative, solicitor, barrister, commissioner for oaths and registered charity.

My question is, can someone else sign instead of the above mentioned people?

It seems like SAR request is free of charge these days as there is an information on the checklist that "no payment required"

thanks
