Transferring ILR visa to BRP

Hi,

I am in the process of applying for a Biometric Residence Permit. I have had an Indefinite Leave to Remain visa since 1999, and the visa vignette is in my expired passport. I am making application under the following category: Update, replace of transfer your biometric residence permit (BRP). My UK Visas and Immigration document checklist asks for both a "Current document showing your right to stay in the UK" and an "Original document showing grant of settlement, such as a vignette, passport or RON 60 letter". The only documents showing my status are the Immigration letter and the original passport with the ILR sticker from 1999 (ILR visa in my expired passport). Does anyone know what this "current" document might be? I am struggling to understand this.
