Travel before tier 2 visa expiry

Post by Mohan_brcm » Wed Jan 03, 2024 1:25 am

Hello,
I am currently on tier 2 visa extension (5th yr running),Wanted to check is it safe to travel 2 months before your tier 2 visa expiry ?
Will there be any issue at the port of entry when coming back?

Why would there be? If visa is still valid on your return, you'll be fine.

Visa is valid to the end date so unless the advice is based on official guidance you can travel til the last date. Of course, to be on the safe side I wouldn't leave your return to the last day. Unless you are talking about applying for ILR so you must not travel once you have submitted your ILR application.
