I think those or us that have received 'issued' emails should hear some news tomorrow. Insha'Allah.

Nothing for me yet. This is so frustrating.

Pak came off the list 12 days ago so I expect them to work day and night to clear the months long backlog. Do they actually think people could be desperate and plans could be jeopardized for this excruciating wait? They had nearly 6 months on our application so I expect them to have the decision in the pipeline ( whatever it is) but at least communicate to the applicants. I think once they get past the 2 weeks standard response time from initial application, they don't care how long it takes after as it wouldn't count in the pre set performance matrixes they have ( to determine service levels). Extremely frustrated.

Today is 2 weeks since the announcement of pakistan coming off the list and no sign at all when will we hear from UKVI. There has to be a way to address this. How come they are deciding Sep applications while applications from April are building up dust? Extremely unfair

Just to make things clear..

I have highlighted the urgency of our case in the previous comments. Yes we applied in September and we have heard sooner as our case is based on compassionate grounds/exceptional circumstances. My husband is a terminal patient who has only been given weeks to live. This application is for his parents to come visit him as he is palliative. So in our case this isn't unfair. We are desperate for his parents to see him. He is hospitalised with serious complications.

I cannot vouch for anyone else.. their circumstances may also be exceptional and please keep this in mind.

I hope you all hear very soon. All the best.

Thank you.

Thanks for explaining but your case was totally different than us. We are not referring to your case but others.

Thanks

Hello everyone,

My parents have applied for UK visitor visa from India and they had their biometrics on 4th Sep, 2021. We received an email on 5th Sep, 2021 that the documents were being sent to Home Office. Today we received the below email:

Thank you for your UK visa application which has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process applications:

Non-settlement within 15 working days
Priority Visas within 5 working days
Settlement within 60 working days.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to make a decision on your visa application within these service standards because we require further information to fully assess your application. We will contact you should we require any additional information from you.

Please be assured that we will continue to progress your application to enable a decision to be made as soon as possible. We will notify you by email once a decision has been made.

Has anyone else got this kind of email? How long after this did you get a decision email and what was the success rate of having visa approved after this email please?

Any help on this will be much appreciated

Hi,

We applied for 2 year visitor visa for my BIL on 31st August in chennai,India and we got the same email yesterday.

The same email we received for my MIL when india was in red list..once the ban was lifted, she received her visa..

So I think this might be generic email where due to high volumes, they are unable to process within the timescale..

Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.

In response to your email, as your country is now out of the red list, your Visitor visa will be processed.

I can confirm that your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision.

Please allow 3 weeks for the visa to be completed and returned back to you from 22/09/2021.

We are unable to escalate this for you until it has passed this time frame.

We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents.

She received this email when india was in red list in july and during that time, UKVI put on hold and didnt process the visitor visa..once the ban is lifted and india moved to amber, she got it within 1 week...

But now for my BIL its going to be 1 month and he got this email yesterday...from what I am seeing from other people posts under timeline topic, people are getting their visa after 30 days from date of biometric.

So fingers crossed..expecting despatched email for my BIL tomm or day after..let's see
