Hi,
I have a query related to the Tier 2 (General) ILR 5 years route. I have a plan to apply ILR in mid of Jan 2019 with super priority service. So could you check my supporting documents list below please and tell me it’s enough of documents.

List of supporting documents

1. Passport (Current & Old)
2. Biometric Card
3. Letter from employer include absence info.
4. Personal Bank Statements (5 Months)
5. Salary Slips (5 Months)
6. P60 (4 Years)
7. English Language
a) UK Master degree
b) Transcripts
8. Life in UK passing certificate

Further, Do I need to provide any consent letter? If so could you tell me the format of this or where can I get this consent form or letter, please?

Regards,
SG
why not 5 Year P60?
Also bank statements need to be stamped and corelate to your recent payslip i.e. the money shown in your payslip is actually credited in your bank account (if applying mid-jan, go for december payslip)
How can you get bank statements stamped? I heard some banks in the UK doesn't do that at all..?
You can check with your bank - generally they do (they did it for me many times).
Alternatively, you can request it by post which is acceptable.

Hi guys! Another day waiting in pain!

So I sent out a complaint yesterday and I also called my local mp's office, a nice gentleman picked up the call and booked me with a caseworker today. So I just went to meet the caseworker. He told me that super prioty services in UKVI's definition - which they don't tell the public:

Pay the extra 600, and you will get a instant decision, UNLESS they think there is a difficulty (God knows what, might be UKVI's own error), then your case get put back into the 6 month pile..and then you are stuck..

He also agrees that this department is the most inefficient one amongst all...He said he will help me on finding out where my case is ect.. so fingers crossed! At least someone is doing something..I'm pretty hopeless now and kinda give up on dreaming about my February holiday.
Hi momozz,

Thanks for sharing. When you said caseworker - did you mean UKVI's caseworker or someone from the MP's office who is dealing with your case?

Thanks
Hello preet, it's someone from the MP's office. I don't know extactly how much he can help, but worth a try. He seemed nice and has experiences on these delay ILR cases.

Thanks a lot oldmankensey! I added a few stats not that it matters much but it helped keep me busy for a few minutes and control my anxiety

‘Still waiting’ figures as reported by forum members:

November:
12-18 - 1 / 1 = 100%
19-25 - 1 / 4 = 25%
26-Dec 2 - 13 / 22 = ~60%
Total: 15 / 27 = ~56%

December:
3-9 - 7 / 18 = ~39%
10-16 - 7 / 15 = ~47%
17-23 - 6 / 15 = 40%
24-30 - 3 / 9 = ~34%
Total: 23 / 57 = 40%

SubTotal: 38 / 84 = 45%

This gives me some calmness to be honest. as I am in that 60% .
Though its not good but atleast there are others in the same boat as me.

Also, its a gradual decline into the percentages which is also a good sign.

My appointment was on 14 December (SET(O)).
Tier 2 with same employer for 5 years - no dependant etc.
Escalated once on the 21 December - got an email saying "document return request is still within service standards" - which is odd because I applied using super priority service so I escalated again on 24 and was told to wait for 5 working days.

Hi and thank you all for your userful information and experience. I will be applying anytime soon and now in a process to complete my application. I have two questions if you guys could kindly reply.

In the previous system or by post we hand in over passport and could let the immigration office know that look at passport no 1 or 2 and page number (any) for entry and exit stamps.

In new system can we upload 1 PDF file which has scanned image of passport along with its passport stamps or we have to submit each file separately.
2nd question is, i have cover letter in MS word. Can i upload cover letter as well or i have to mention cover letter information within the application section.

Any body used "Reading" sopra centre or hammersmith?

Hi dilse4srk,

You should be able to scan the passport(s) separately and upload in the new system. Just one single big PDF should be fine as long as it is within 6 MB.
Just to note that during your appointment at the Sopra Steria center they scan the passport(s) again using their fancy scanner.

For Covert Letter - you can save it as PDF.
Cover Letter is optional so its entirely upto you if you want to submit.

if you are unable to scan the passport due to file size etc. just take them with you (as you would anyway) and ask the staff to upload. It will take some time but they will upload it all for you.

same goes for cover letter, if you are unable to upload it, just print it out and take it with you. The staff at Sopra Steira will upload everything for you.

Thank you guys for you quick response.

The documents i am submitting are as follows. Please let me know if they are enough

1. Online application form
2. Uk degree certificate
3. Life in UK test
4. 3 Passport scanned copies along with stamp pages
5. Employment letter
5. Wife and child both british passport copies. as they ask in the form, if you are married to BC , submit copies of their passports
6. Cover letter which states all my absence template as well

Do i need to submit last 3 months bank statement and pay slips ?

Also 1 more important point here is. I always applied visas within time, however 2 of my visas were refused but both time i won appeals from 1st tier tribunal and home office issued me visas . So i hope i am covered with 3c

HI, I am in the same scenario, no dependents etc, same employer. Whenever I call HO, i always get connected with agent called xxxxxx ( not sure if there are only few agents) and and she always says to wait 5 working for anything you say.

Applied using priority service, £3018.20 - 19th Dec
Biometrcis - 23rd Dec
Still waiting for answer............very frustrating.

Hi, Thanks all for the wealth of info on the site. I haven't commented before but have been carefully watching the activity on this thread for months and it helped me a great deal.
Update from me on process;
Set (O) Ancestry route. Expected a very simple application - nothing exceptional at all in file and able to supply all required docs.
Myself as main applicant and 1 x spouse and 2 x child dependants
Super priority service (yes nearly bankrupted us - all fees x 4!!)

13th December Online application (exactly 28 days before 5 year anniversary of Visa entry although I did not enter UK until 6th Feb 2014 - using the days in between as within allowed 'absence from UK')

14th December Received confirmation application received with message saying would take 6 months! Paniced and rang HO who assured this was a standard email for all applications and didn't alter my status as Super priority.

20th December VCAS Croyden appointment. Took about 1.5 hours - but there was 4 of us. Very pleasant and straightforward process. All kind and helpful

Absolutely no news - no emails or post until yesterday.

02 January -Royal Mail courier on doorstep. Had to sign for envelopes which had all 4 BRP's in them. I still haven't received any written official confirmation that application successful but assume this isn't necessary now I have the BRP's

By all accounts given the stat holidays processing took 3 business days which I was fine with. Very pleased and relieved it's over and hope all the best news is on the way for everyone still waiting - again thanks for all the advice and wisdom!

Feel free to ask any questions. From reading the threads I think I'm the first to fully process an Ancestry route ILR application.

Very surprised that your documents are send via Royalmail, normally its DX. But anyways cherish the good news and end of visa renewal.

Hello -

I availed the Super Priority Service for Tier 2 to ILR route [SET(O)].
Biometrics and Documents submitted on 20th December, Birmingham.
No news yet. Phone HO and was advised to wait for 5 working days + 2 days for the post. They also said many people are not getting emails.

5 working days are over, so expecting the postal delivery by tomorrow (hopefully).

Anyone who applied in Birmingham on 20th December through Super Priority?

Hi all, hopefully my post will give strenthg for those who are planning to apply soon.

ILR: SET (0), after 5 years on working visa with the same employer

Timeline
31 December 2018.
Submitted application and all scanned documents. Booked biometric in Croydon for next working day, other Lodon centers were not avaliable. Didn't book any documents checkings.

2 January 2019.
Took me 2.5 hours to complete biometric appointment, documents have been sent to HO at 12.30 pm. Everything went smothly, but due to amount of people and careful security checks queue didnt move fast. Guy only scanned my current passport and biomentrics appointment confirmation document, no any other documents were needed at that point.
If you have a scanner, it's much better to scan and upload all documents yourself, saves a lot of time for you and other people. Only current passport has to be scanned on special machine, all other documents are fine with usual scanners.

3 January 2019.
At 2.30 pm received email from my case worker from Sheffild with confirmaiton of granted IRL. At that time my scanned docuemnts were not "frozen" at Sopra's account, so i dont think it has any connection with status of your applicaton.

Required documents:
- Employement Letter
- Letter about absenses
- Police registration
- Current BRP
- Current passport
- Old passport
- Declaration - checks consent (you can download and sign it while submitting application)
- Payslip
- Bank statement (printed in branch + stamp on every page)
- Masters degree from UK university
- Life in the UK test

They still have not clear documents in the list:
"Evidence of XXX's immigration status in the UK", but not current BRP
and
"For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 2 migrant, documents showing that you met the
relevant requirements of the immigration rules."

So just in case i scanned:
- Old working visa and PSV (were not required)
- Old approval letters (were not required)
- SoC for my current BRP (were not required)

Will update you about posting time, once receive letter and a card.

Wow, I actually got a response from the complaints@ email address that I wrote to on the 12th December!

Just requesting a consent form to show my wife is happy with me acting on her behalf. I stressed in my reply that our priority is to ensure the application hasn't been mis-categorised as a Standard application and forcing us to wait up to 6 months.

My reply was also sent to another email address which they gave me and which I haven't seen before. I won't give it here because it's a non-public address and if you wrote to it, they'd probably just shout at you anyway. :)

That complaints@ email address sent me an auto-reply on the 12th promising me a response within 20 working days and I think it's been about 12/13 working days since.

Online submission: 12/11/18
Wife eligible to apply from 28/11/18 (5 yrs from entry to UK minus 28 days)
Premium appointment: Mark Lane, London 30/11/18
Four escalations
Email confirming ILR granted: 01/01/19

Dear XXX

I am pleased to confirm that your application for indefinite leave to remain has now been granted. You will receive your decision letter and biometric residence permit (BRP) in due course and these will confirm your immigration status.

Thank you for using our super priority service.
I love the last line...not a hint of irony! :P
