Hi Guys,

- I made an SET LR application (Super Priority) on 18th December and got email confirmation from Home Office that application has been received.
- Attended Sopra Steria on 22nd December.
- After the appointment, I did not get any kind of email from home office regarding outcome of the application.
- Got decision letter delivered by Royal Mail on 31st December, however I found that caseworker made the decision on 24th December.
- Got email from DX for the delivery of BRP on 3rd January.
- I am academic and was on Student visa, Tier 4 and Tier 2 with same employer so my case was straight forward.

I wish you all the best with your applications and plans ahead.
Best wishes!
@frmglasgow, I am assuming you had 1 or more passports. Did you upload scanned copies of all the pages in all of your passport(s) or the just the pages with stamps and visas? I want to find out the best way to manage all the scanned copies of the passports i have and that of my family as well.
Hey,

I had 3 passports and the latest one was new without any stamps. Despite that I scanned and uploaded all pages from my 3 passports along with 2 passports of my spouse. When you will go for appointment, the guy over there will only scan your latest passport and only those pages that have stamps on.
Thanks for the reply @frmglasgow. One last question.

On the documents section, it asks, "Do you have any other reasons for wanting to stay in the UK? ". Can share how you responded to this question please.
Many thanks

There should be one in Reading Central Library or try a post code search https://www.ukvcas.co.uk/locations

I also had my appointment on Tuesday in London, i was out of there by 1 pm and i still haven't received a decision yet :(. The wait is killing me, i am just thinking the worst, this state of unknown is not good. However, i'm glad to see a few people who had their appointment near the time that i had mine on here also haven't heard back. I hope it's to do with technical problems. They did take around 20 mins just to take my picture on the day.
Hi,

So what happened with you? I have been waiting for 5 days so far and wanted to know when to expect my decision
Hi Luni, Its fair to say, HO&UKVI decision times using the new Super Priority process have varied this past few weeks. No ones knows the primary cause of the bottleneck. Some applicants got 24hrs vsia approval email/confirmation whereas others have had to wait for several weeks (somethimes for 1-6 weeks). The good news is that most of the decisions are coming through now. So yours should come pretty soon.
Thank you so much. Its just frustrating you know? I hope it does come soon. I can call them on Monday and ask them what is up, although I have read here that they aren't so useful, anyways, I can let you know what happens if you would like

It's good to see that some applicants from that mid to end November backlog are getting their decisions now! I'm still waiting since 28th Nov, hopefully we'll all hear back soon.

Not a single approval reported here today.

Removal of Super Priority Service suspected from at least some types of applications.

I wonder what is going on :?:
Have you managed to get Super priority appointment for ur Set M?

Plz dont say that HO is not issuing any appointments for Set M.

Hi Guys,
I applied for my Set 0 Tier 2 to ILR on 23rd December and biometric on 27th December using super priority. No reply till now. I was a bit worried because I used last 3 months electronic bank statements but without any stamp/signature from the bank. Do you guys think it will be a problem or has anyone done this and got their ILR approved ? The bank statement had all the information needed in the guidance though.
Thanks in advance

Hi vibe123, i dont think it matters whether stamped or unstamped. I have submitted bank statements a few years back which were printed off the internet. In my opinion, the critical aspect is to ensure that your statement included activities such as salary payments, council tax bills, household electrical, heating, water etc. The HO will check the validity and verify the statement anyway. In my experience, they wont verify any document they dont need.

Others with more experience and who have been through SET(O) might be able to help you better.

My friend applied on the 28th and got his approval on 2nd Jan.(set o Tier 2 5 year route). But they asked for his bank statements coz he only attached 1 month (don't ask me why). He got an email from caseworker on 2nd jan and he submitted it on that day, 3 hours later he got his approval and got his BRP and decision letter yesterday and today respectively.

I would say, you should be getting it next week. As HO/UKVI is now processing pretty fast.

Unlike me and some others, I have been waiting since 1st December!!!!!

I understand this is very frustrating and I am stressed too. Did you call them for an update because you have passed the '5 working days' standard ? I called them and they asked me to call on Monday if I don't receive any response by today.

I just got off the phone with UKVI (helpline) re: super priority. Here is what I found out about Set(m):

- It is possible for your visa to be approved in the 28 days prior to your "qualifying date" (that is the date on which you reach your time requirement in the UK). So if your qualifying date is 12 February and you can submit your application on 15 Jan, you can be approved between 15 Jan and 12 Feb.
- Your application should be approved in 24 hours
- You should receive your BRP within 3-5 working days after your approval.

The helpline had no wait, had really nice people working for it, and they could answer the questions that I had about my particular situation (timing of application). I would highly recommend it.
Can you please share the number? Do they give any details on the pending cases by any chance?
I highly doubt it.
This is the website to find out the correct number: https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk
Char (CR001 not Casa)
In life you cannot press the Backspace button!!
Please DO NOT send me a PM for immigration advice. I reserve the right to ignore the PM and not respond.

Goodluck to your application.

Hi Guys

How are you able to book the Super priority service. Will you see this option on Home office website or UKVCAS website.

On the Home Office application I see only two options

1) new service and 2) existing service

When I click New service I dont get any option of Super priority nor on the exisrting service. Please guide me quite tense as the due date is coming soon and I cant seem to find a way.

First you choose new service then go ahead and fill the application.

At the very end of application process, after you hit the declaration then you will be presented with standard/super priority with appropriate fees to pay.

@frmglasgow, congrats on getting ILR!

I am preparing my application for ILR (long residence) too and have a question about the employment letter and mortgage evidence you provided.

I've completed a 'dummy' application online and on the document checklist there is no request for a letter from the employer or mortgage evidence; can I assume you added these in order to strengthen your application?

I am planning to change jobs after I get ILR (as in, hand in my notice the day after ILR is granted because I already have an offer from another employer).

At the time of application, my current employer should be able to issue me with a letter confirming I am working for them and will continue to do so. It might raise questions when I request such a letter though because my Tier 2 is still valid for 3 years.

So my preference is to not ask my employer for a letter to support ILR in case they ask why, at which point they might guess that I am intending to change jobs and refuse to/become legally not able to issue me with a letter if they know I am leaving.

You mentioned that it was a 'simple' application because you were staying with your employer, I am wondering whether my application will be considered less simple if I cannot demonstrate that I am staying.

So my question is, was this letter a mandatory part of your application and if not, do you think it helped to include it?

Hi, I Just wanted to share my experience so far using the super priority service.

Route: ILR via Long term residence route
Online application submitted (by my solicitor) :4th Dec 2018
Biometric appointment at London premium lounge : 20th Dec 2018 @ 10.00 a.m.
They had broadband problem and I had to wait for it to be solved. So I left there around 12pm.

No email or letter confirmation whatsoever after submitting the documents and biometric.

Two HO letter received: 31st Dec 2018
The first letter was dated 24th Dec says ' Your application is valid but need further inquiry bra bra bra...'
The second letter was dated 27th Dec and says ' Your ILR has been approved and your BRP will be with you in 7 working days.'

BRP received: still waiting:(

I was confused by receiving two letters on the same day but it seems that my ILR has been granted after further inquiry. Because of this maybe tricky to ask HO refund for priority service but my solicitor will be back in her office from holiday tomorrow so I will just double check with her.

Good luck everyone!

PLEASE demand (not request) a refund. A decision or a letter informing you that they need more time to consider the application (further enquiries) had to be dispatched by 12pm 21 Dec. They failed to meet the service standard. Don't forget to mention in your complaint letter/email that that the further enquiry letter had to be dispatched within 24 hours too.
