Hi Guys, I escalated my case again (Tier 2 to ILR, Biometrics on 27th Dec) This was my second escalation and done this morning and I got this email .

Dear xx,

We do not send out a confirmation email, If you want to track your application, please log onto your account on the https://www.gov.uk/government/organisat ... mmigration or contact 0300 123 2241 (standard rate number)

Regards,
xx

When I clicked on the link, it says page not found. Did anyone else received a similar email after escalation ?
Thanks
I was told by the MP's case worker that UKVI is always short of staff and always training new staff, and the people who trains sometime doesn't know what he is doing himself..so just ignore that, whoever send it clearly has no idea what he is doing. You should get a confirmation because a lot of people did get one here.

Dear all

Relaying some of the recent good news, I am ready to share mine with extreme happiness.

SET (O) under Tier 2, Super Priority
Online Application: Dec 1 2018
Biometrics: Dec 1 2018 at Manchester Central Library

Numerous escalations starting from 3rd December.
Calling to UKVI contact centres - numerous times (lost counts)
Emails to Apply help, General Enquiry and Complaints
Wrote to MPs and calling to follow up

2x Generic emails about 6 months' decision timeline
2x emails about "sorry for the delay, but aim to decide as soon as possible"
1x email from the General Enquiry email address on the 19th working day ""sorry for the delay, but aim to decide as soon as possible"

Email received 11 January 2019 (today) at 10.41am
"I’m pleased to confirm that your application for indefinite leave to remain under Tier 2 of the immigration arrangements has now been granted. You will receive your decision letter and biometric residence permit (BRP) in due course and these will confirm your immigration status. Thank you for using our super priority service."
That’s fantastic news! Congratulations! I think it’s mine and Madiha’s one left in this category :(

Seems like HO is picking up the pace in clearing backlogs. Congrats to everyone who has so far received their approvals. Some really encouraging news all around.

I got a reply from the HO complaints email with some even better news. Here's the email below :

*****************Start of message************

11 January 2019

Dear Mr xxxxxx

Thank you for your email correspondence of 17 December 2018 where you have raised a complaint about your immigration matter.

Our records show your application was not dealt with within the 24-hour service standard for super priority applications. I am sorry for the delay in dealing with the application and for the inconvenience this may have caused. Your case has now been allocated to a caseworker for urgent consideration.

We will reimburse the cost of the super priority element of the fee paid (the difference between the cost of making a standard application and a super priority application). We will reimburse the amount of £610 in due course. I am also sorry that you received incorrect information about the service standard for your application. We are bedding in a new service and working to rectify issues as they arise.

A decision was made on your application on 10 January and dispatched by Royal Mail, special delivery, reference number: to:

******* My address******

I uphold your complaint.

I believe I have addressed all the points you have raised. However if you feel that there are specific aspects that have not been addressed you can request a review of our response within one month of the date on this letter by writing to us at: ****another email for 2nd tier complaint*****. Please ensure that you provide us with specific details setting out why you believe a review is required. This will enable us to provide you with a full response.

Or you can write to us at:

******""UKVI physical address for complaints review******

Yours sincerely

***"**Person's name******

Central Operations

www.gov.uk/ukvi

UKVI is keen to continually review and improve its service to our customers. To help us to do so we would be grateful if you could complete a short online survey. Please access the survey using the following link:

https://www.homeofficesurveys.homeoffic ... k/s/PEUZF/

***************End of message**********

So following this email response and using oldmanksey's approach is going to be my next step to claim the £610. Also, I got a something for you card from Royal Mail as I was away at work and it is either the letter or BRP or both not sure. Will update when I collect it today from RM.

Happy days.

The complaints email has been posted multiple times, but here it is once again:

complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk

The points I raised:

Provided all the reference numbers, case ids, UAN numbers etc. (chronological order)
1. I paid extra for 24 hr decision but nothing happened and not a single response from HO
2. I escalated 3 times (provided dates and times) and the automated response and lack of clarity
3. To give me an update on my application and give me a refund as my application is beyond the service standard now.

Took them almost 20 working days to reply. but atleast it's good that the email clearly says they will refund "in due course" (which might be light years in HO standards).

hi all,
I will be glad if any of you guys @groot5 @frmglasgow @kiwijane123 @ dilse4srk @Vpruk and other moderators help me with the below please. Im getting worried i may have submitted our application wrongly

I have a question about the Sopra Steria website. I have submitted ILR (LR) application for myself and my family. When i go to the Documents submission page, it only gives me optional documents catergory ONLY and No Mandatory documents. The same shows on my wifes application.

Does that seem normal? Did anyone of you get the Mandatory documents section to upload your files?
I too can see nothing under mandatory document but under optional documents i can see whole list of documents to be uploaded. So i uploaded all my docs under optional tabs. My appointment is next week
Thanks dilse4srk. I thought I was going. It will be nice to hear from the other ILR(LR) who have receiced their approval from HO.

@frmglasgow @groot5 @Vpruk, kindly let us know what you had on the Sopra website.

@dilse4srk, we are going the week after next. Will send updates. Update us from your side next week.

Thanks

It is very surprising that the email was received on a Saturday. Hopefully they are clearing the backlog by working overtime.

Hello Friends,

Its now turn to share good news :D :D I have received from HO that my ILR has been granted. I did at least 5 escalations and sent emails to every possible address of HO. Below is the email i received.

"I’m pleased to confirm that your application for indefinite leave to remain under Tier 2 of the immigration arrangements has now been granted. You will receive your decision letter and biometric residence permit (BRP) in due course and these will confirm your immigration status. Thank you for using our super priority service."

My timeline as below:
Submission Date 19 Dec-18
Biometrcis 23rd Dec-18
Approval email 10th Jan-19

First escalation 29th Dec
Second 2nd Jan
Third 3rd Jan
Fourth 7th Jan
5th 9th Jan.

I wish all the luck to all who are still bearing the pain from HO due to their inefficiency
Congrats Manish ! Happy for you and thanks for sharing the escalation details.
I have only escalated once and got a reply next day where they said my application is under processing and if its not my fault fee will be refunded blah. Did you get similar emails ? Also I see you didn’t wait 5 days before escalating. Don’t they go mad if you escalate everyday ?
I know Customer service would say to wait for 3-5 working days when you initially complaint. But i tried to be a little cheeky as i wouldn't tell them that i called earlier as well, so they made another escalation. However when i phoned for 3rd,4th and 5th escalation, they did found that I have already contacted them and they have done the escalation but i always said i received a generic response which doesn't makes any sense and is not applicable to me. I used super priority and now my travel plans will be ruined due to this delay and so on. You have be show persistence and keep on trying......and to be honest that all we can do as there's no way to contact the dark black HO offices.... :)
Good Luck with your application hopefully you will hear soon......

Hey, If i should put my last penny on it, i will say NO. I may be totally wrong.
If you search in this thread you will see a few people have had to wait for a few days or weeks to get a reply. Others who get instant reply, do get the same day or next day. Many people have suggested HO is gradually clearing a big backlog of application so it should get to you very soon. The good news is that you will hear back from the HO.

Did your husband get the email or his solicitor?
It is very surprising that the email was received on a Saturday. Hopefully they are clearing the backlog by working overtime.
They sometimes work even on Sundays. I have received decisions and BRPs both dated on a Sunday (especially I've noticed this happens in Septembers when they receive lots of tier 4 extension applications).

Hi all,

I'm thrilled to say that my ILR application was granted. I received a confirmation letter which was signed for early yesterday morning.

Note : I did not receive any emails prior to this letter.

A mini timeline of my experience :

18th December 2018 - Applied online for ILR (Super Priority)

31st December 2018 - Biometrics at Croydon (Uploaded all my documents online and I was told everything was ok at the appointment)

8th January 2019 - At this point I was getting rather worried because I paid for a fast track service and didn't hear anything back even though it had been 5 working days. So I called the home office and I was told this will be escalated and I need to wait 5 more working days to get an update on my application. I was told if I didn't hear back in 5 days I would need to call back.

10th January 2019 - I received a generic email after my first escalation on the 8th. "Thank you for contacting UKVI Contact Centre. We aim to complete all applications within the 24-hour service standard."

12th January 2019 at approximately 9am I received my approval letter.

Note: the letter was dated for 10th January. Hence, I will definitely be applying for a refund after my BRP card arrives.

I cannot explain how much this day means to me. I had to wait almost 11 years for this.

Finally, for those of you who are waiting please hold tight and be patient. I'm confident you'll all be hearing something positive very soon! :D

If anyone has any questions about my experience please fire away and I will do my best to help you. :)

Regards,

Oz.

Hi Nice111,

I have applied for my wife dependent visa online.

Submitted online application on 12-dec-2018.
Biomett done on 22-dec-2018.
Visa Service selected Priority Service (result in 10 days).

We still haven't received the result yet.

Could you please help me with below query;
.1. what number you called to speak to Home Office ?

.2. With what currior do they send the BRP card. Is it by DX currior or Royal Mail ?

.3. They have not sent any letter or email so far. So how do we know what is the status of the application ?

.4. So when you got your approval letter , was that a letter through standard delivery or the signed delivery ?

Your help will be much appreciated .

Thanks and Regards,
Raj

On top of these contact methods:

complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk
0300 123 2241

Are there any other email addresses / phone numbers I can try to make the escalation of my ILR application?

Anyone tried to call the DX service to see if any special delivery (for the BRP card and decision letter)?

The waiting is really killing me and no information at all from the HO

Thanks. A.
