Hi

We submitted my husband's SET(M) ILR under super priority last week.

Attended a biometric appointment on Thursday 28th Feb at 13.02 (confirmed by them verbally).

To this moment we have not received any confirmation or communication regarding the decision.

We have tonight received a generic email telling us that they emailed 15 days ago telling us to submit biometric and if we have not already done so to go to a post office???

Has anyone else received this generic letter?

Obviously we are now well over the 24 hour processing time and the 48 hour communication time so they have technically breached their own standards. Is this normal or should we be worried??

I know that we meet all of the requirements but the delay is making me nervous and angry at the money charged for no service. We have checked and his Right to Work status has not changed and is due to expire on 15th March.

I guess we are just seeking reassurance..

Hi !!

I am in a similar situation, applied for Set 0 ( Tier 2 ILR,1 + dependant) and attended biometric appointment on thursday 28th Feb 2019 @ 12:00.

Recieved email on friday 1st March at 11.51,

Thank you for your applications ,we are now considering your application. Although we would normally decide your application within 24 hours days from the date it was submitted, unfortunately this is not going to be possible in your case. This is because your application raises exceptionally complex issues and we require further time to consider your case thoroughly and reach a decision. We will write to you once a decision has been made on your case.  Many thanks for your patience in this matter.

As far as I know, all the documents were in place and is a straight forward case.

Apart from my initial tier 2 application in 2013 was rejected due to respresentative negligence but was approved later upon providing the correct document.

This delay is so frustrating and is affecting my health due to stress. Having checked Right to Work status has not changed and is due to expire on 15th March.

Fingers crossed. I guess, patience is the key here.

Guys, please update your timelines

Thank you

Hello, the biometrics email is just automated and my wife got one too.

She applied for super priority but after 2 escalations she got ILR after 15 working days from submitting her biometrics at Sopra Steria.

I think they are struggling to cope with the demand and lots of applications are being g delayed.

Hope that helps.

Just heard back re my refund request - In my case they were only 24 hours late.

"Dear Mr XYZ,

We received your request for a refund of £610.00 due to your application not being processed within the 24 hour period after enrolment of your biometrics on the 19 February 2019. The refund was requested on 21 February 2019.

Your refund will be sent to your account in due course."

Now to wait and see when the refund comes in.
Just got my refund too!
Complained in the 19th of Feb. Chased up on the 28th of Feb. Refund received 1st of March.
Did you call them up on 28th Feb? If so, can you please let me know the number. I have e-mailed them at complaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk a couple of days ago. Would give them a week or so before I make a call and chase them up.
No i didn't call them. I just sent them a chaser on this email - Tier 2&5 Temporary Migration Consideration - Tier25TMC@homeoffice.gov.uk

Don't worry about it. A lot of us went through similar experience. You missed a key point on the e-mail, it clearly says "If you have already provided us with your biometric data for this current application, please ignore this email notification." - It is a generic email.

Would advise you to call them up to escalate your case. I escalated mine and got everything sorted within a couple of days.

Applied for ilr set m on 15th Feb using the super priority service and submitted biometrics on the 16th at Croydon. Got a generic email on Monday 18th Feb saying the application had been received. Heard nothing back and escalated on the 22nd of Feb, escalated it again yesterday, 4th March. I have sent a complaint email to the home office and an email to my MP. Checked the right to work site today and I got the same answer as you - we cant’s show the record. This is extremely stressful and not really sure what that means.

Attended Set (O) application for my family of 3, Super Priority Service at Croydon (as no appointment was available for weeks at the Chelmsford center 5 minutes away from my home) on March 1st (Friday), had scanned everything and submitted and document check came back asking me to move my passport scans to Proof of Application section on 27th February. I did so.

While at the centre - I was asked to choose desk biometrics, who were very nice and calm and asked to take pictures and biometrics, along with signature. said everything was fine. I asked if they would check my documents, and they said since I had used the service nothing was needed - unless I thought I'd forgotten something. left in 20 minutes, wait was just half an hour. we head back home.

Next day at around 11:30 (time of my appointment) I get this email.
Dear --------------
Thank you for your recent Super Priority ILR application.
Unfortunately we need further information before we can make a decision on your application. We need the following information in order to move forward with the application:
1. Your most payslip. This must be dated no earlier than one calendar month before the date of the application,

Please reply by return email should you wish to email a response.

Your application will be placed on hold for 5 working days awaiting a reply at which point a decision will be made with the information we currently hold.

Regards

My working days: Tues, Wed, Thurs
I realized I had forgotten to upload this (hate myself for that) and I immediately replied to the email as well as uploaded February and January payslips to the UKVCAS portal. I got generic auto responses, but it's Tuesday (3 days) now and I'm yet to hear back. I'm shocked that the document check service didn't catch this neither did the staff at SS. I was very anxious, but after seeing the others plight I'm a bit better, could anybody advice me on the next steps for this? how long should I wait before I make the next move? who can I call or email?

Thanks!

Same boat here I checked the right to work site all day today and it says can't show your record. All we can do unfortunately is carry on escalating on the phone, write to your MP to follow up and hope they get to our applications sooner. I think they simply just can not cope with the demand and there is already so much backlog to get through.

All the best.

Same here! It became unavailable yesterday lunchtime but then early afternoon I received a confirmation email from the home office saying that they have granted my ILR. So it might be an issue with the website!

Good morning all,

My wife has her ILR Set(M) appointment tomorrow in Glasgow. She is using my salary for the income threshold.

Am I required to accompany her for the appointment? If not, can I accompany her? Is there a waiting area inside etc.?

Thanks in advance.

You're not really required to attend since you must have signed consent form.

Hi All,

This is those people who are want to get refund. I have been trying to get refund for almost 2 months now and finally found the best way to get it sorted and I would like to share this to you all.

Thanks to Abhijit19 who shared this email address Tier25TMC@homeoffice.gov.uk. So the best way to get refund is to email that email address but you need to have a subject which should be related to Tier 2 or Tier 5 applications.

At first when I emailed them I just got a generic reply which was useless but I guess they didn't check my email because my subject title was "Requesting Refund".

Today, what I did was I changed my subject title was "Tier 2 to ILR (Settlement)" and then in the body just wrote your normal story asking for refund and gave as much information as I could such as name, dates, case id, reference num, email etc.

Finally, after doing that I got a reply from them stating:
Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your email

We will refund the amount of £610 to the credit or debit card used to make the original payment within the next 28 days.

Kind Regards

Temporary Migration
However, I have yet to receive the refund but I will update in due course.

So guys, good-luck and hopefully, we all get refunded because we worked hard for that money.

Hi,
Could someone inform me how I apply for refund for super priority service. I have not yet received the visa but I have checked the work site and it says “there is no time limit to how how long you can stay in this country”, I guess that means my wife has received her ILR visa.
My wife gave her biometric on Friday 1st March 2019 @ 11.30am and as of now I have received no correspondence from home office via email. It’s been more then 24 hours. Enemy though it looks like she has received her ILR.
Does that mean I can apply for refund?
Raja
Just received a letter from Home Office dated 3rd March 2019 (it was Sunday that day) confirming grant of visa. Alhumdullilah.

I never received any correspondence via email even though it looks like they reached the decision within the service standard. But does it still mean I can apply for refund of super priority service fee as they didn’t communicate with me within 24 hours.

Hi All,
I have been watching this thread for a while and thanks all for sharing your experience.

My wife gave her Biometrics on 05/03/2019 at Croydon center. Our Appointment time was 11:30 am and we arrived quite early @ 10 am and everything completed and submitted by 11: 10 am . My wife got an email from Homeoffice today 06/03/2019 @ 12: 40 Pm saying he ILR was Granted.

" I am pleased to confirm that your application for further leave to remain under ILR of the immigration arrangements has now been granted. You will receive the decision letter and biometric residence permit (BRP) in due course and these will confirm your immigration status.

Thank you for using our super priority service."

Does it mean they have given the decison with the Service starndard. Or Am I eligible to get a refund?

Good Luck for all who are still waiting for decision.

Not sure why you want to ask each and everything, I did post earlier in the page how to request for refund. Why do you try giving a shot before posting it here. Try coming back if you can't get any sort help from home office.

Thank you dragon098. The reason I put this was this is kind of an hour delay so is it worth going back and asking them for a refund?
