Type of application: UK Ancestry SET(0) & SET(O)-Partner (Super Priority)
Online application submission date: 24 February 2019
Documents uploaded online: 24 February 2019
Biometrics appointment date and location: 25 February 2019, Croydon 08:30
Default Confirmation email received: none, only confirmation was the Sopra Steria lady confirming it had been successfully submitted
Approval Email/Letter provided: waiting

Question regarding the https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work website. I don't have a BRP, only an original visa in my passport. I'm guessing I can't use this website? And there's probably no way to find out what the BRP number will be? (i.e. if you lost your card, there's not a site to find out what the number is?)

Have you received your decision yet?

Hi All,

This is first time i am posting in this forum. This forum is really helpful and i thought to share my experience of Super Priority Service for ILR -10 yrs.

02-03-2019: Appointment at Manhester Central Library. All documents scanned and Submitted online.

Customer service was at excellence, Advisor there nothing know about application they only take Biometric Info and take confirmation from applicant to submitt documents.

It took almost 30 minutes to complete process, Advisor told me you will receive email within 24hrs. Which i suppossed to receive by Monday..

Nothing received no email no letter.. But today 09-03-2019 received letter of approval which was issued on 7th March.

I dont know why they called this super priority. Is there any way i can claim extra charges which i paid for so called name of super priority.

Any help welcome.

FLR M super priority.

Application Date: 28/02/2019
Biometrics and documents upload: 06/03/2019

However since then we haven’t received any acknowledgments or emails. Considering people have been receiving responses with 24 hours via email, does this mean there is something wrong with our application? Or is this normal?

Thanks

How are you able to escalate twice ? The guy who picked up the phone at UKVI told me I was not able to escalate the second time as I need to wait for 30 days! Was your case straightforward ? Which category of settlement are you applying under?

Not sure. I applied through the 5 year spouse route. I thought it’s pretty straightforward. Have you tried getting in touch with your local MP?

Hi all,

Quick question to anyone whom recently attended a biometric appointment at the Croydon UKCVAS centre. Did you have to pay the usual 19.20pounds fee for the biometric enrolment?

I attended my appointment yesterday, however no one asked me to make payment so am wondering whether this is normal.

Responses will be greatly appreciated.

Application made: 5/3/19

Hello @christine200025,

I attended on 09Mar2019 at Croydon UKVCAS and did not pay anything at the centre.
Though the fees I paid was £3018.20 + £100 for the Biomentric appointment.
Application date: 08Mar2019
Appointment date:09Mar2019

Did you get any emails confirmation on submission?

Also I was told by the agent at the centre that we can check the status using UAN# at Gov.UK website..Which I'm not sure how?

Hello all,

This forum is absolute treasure for UK Visa and Immigration queries. I thought I would like to share my experience.

Application type : SET (0) - Main applicant.
Previous Visa: Tier-2 General
Submitted online application on 28/02/2019
Appointment type : Super Priority - Sopra services at Coventry Central library
Fees paid : 3018.20 £ + 100 £ for Sopra services.
Appointment Date : 08/03/2019 ( Friday 12:00 pm)

Arrived 10mins before appointment time. Already attached the supporting documents to the online UKVCAS portal. No photocopies required, however your appointment letter to be printed and kept in handy. the barcode on the appointment letter is important to enable the UKVCAS officer to start your case.

1.Checked my latest passport and BRP card.
2. Asked me to do the biometrics in the cabin
3. Digital photo was taken whilst Bio metric.
4. No additional fees paid.
5. Officer went through the check list and confirmed again with me that all the documents are original and attached correctly to the login page.
6. She also confirmed that I will receive my decision in email within 24hrs as I have selected Super Priority service.

I waited saturday and sunday, no email or letter regarding the application.

On Monday 11/03/2019 - I received email saying my application is successful and BRP will be delivered in due course.

My expectation was to receive decision by Saturday itself - as we paid 610£ extra. Bit disappointed on that bit. But other than this, I am happy with the new services.

Hi guys,

Reading the posts on this thread has really helped as I'm anxiously waiting for the outcome of my Tier 2 (General) Visa application (Extension of Tier 2 from inside the UK). Thanks all for sharing your experiences and it really seems to be so inconsistent!

Application made: 13/02
Appointment at Croydon: 16/02

Lady who processed my documents in Croydon said that I should expect a decision on Monday/Tuesday (18th or 19th). Haven't received anything to date.

Tried ringing the UKVI call centre and once I was put through to someone and she asked 'How can I help' - then hung up as I was talking! Bit ridiculous!
Hi Sear,

No, unfortunately no decision yet...anxiously waiting and hoping it'll arrive early this week.

Attended Set (O) application for my family of 3, Super Priority Service at Croydon (as no appointment was available for weeks at the Chelmsford center 5 minutes away from my home) on March 1st (Friday), had scanned everything and submitted and document check came back asking me to move my passport scans to Proof of Application section on 27th February. I did so.

While at the centre - I was asked to choose desk biometrics, who were very nice and calm and asked to take pictures and biometrics, along with signature. said everything was fine. I asked if they would check my documents, and they said since I had used the service nothing was needed - unless I thought I'd forgotten something. left in 20 minutes, wait was just half an hour. we head back home.

Next day at around 11:30 (time of my appointment) I get this email.
Dear --------------
Thank you for your recent Super Priority ILR application.
Unfortunately we need further information before we can make a decision on your application. We need the following information in order to move forward with the application:
1. Your most payslip. This must be dated no earlier than one calendar month before the date of the application,

Please reply by return email should you wish to email a response.

Your application will be placed on hold for 5 working days awaiting a reply at which point a decision will be made with the information we currently hold.

Regards

My working days: Tues, Wed, Thurs
I realized I had forgotten to upload this (hate myself for that) and I immediately replied to the email as well as uploaded February and January payslips to the UKVCAS portal. I got generic auto responses, but it's Tuesday (3 days) now and I'm yet to hear back. I'm shocked that the document check service didn't catch this neither did the staff at Surinder Singh route. I was very anxious, but after seeing the others plight I'm a bit better, could anybody advice me on the next steps for this? how long should I wait before I make the next move? who can I call or email?

Thanks!

Timeline update:

1st March - Appointment
2nd March - Request for additional pay-slip
7th March - Email confirmation
8th March - Letter
11th March - new BRP arrived

Looks like I've to cut up the old BRP and mail it back to them right away, or there will be a £1000 fine.

Will I be eligible for a refund for the delay in service?

Submitted my super-priority Set (O) application on 1/03/2019 as my first tier 2 visa was issued on 27/03/2014. I attended a biometric appointment at Cardiff UKVCAS center on 11/03/2019 at 9:00 am. I was hoping to receive a decision within 24 hours, but this morning at 8:30 received an email that my application has raised exceptionally complex issues and would require further time to thoroughly consider my case ......

I thought my case was straight forward as I have spent my all 5 years with the same sponsor on a PhD level job.

After replying to the email that please let me know if you need any document, etc.
the case worker replied that there is nothing to worry about as they have to check something with another department but can't tell how long it will take.....

On my hand, it is assuring that they said there is nothing to worry about but on the other hand, it is mentioned that they need to check something with another department, so don't know which department and what they are checking.

Anyone else with a similar experience?

For what it's worth, I got a similar email at the 24hr mark, saying it 'wasn't possible' and something about raising 'exceptionally complex issues' (though nothing about what that was or whether they were checking things etc); I too replied with an offer of contact/asking whether they needed anything further and also got the response that they didn't and couldn't give me a timeframe. This was all the first week of Feb (biometrics 5 Feb, Birmingham). I've still not heard anything back, and any escalation attempts/queries have not helped, have just been told they can't say when it'll be decided and generic emails saying 'as soon as possible'. They are supposed to give my MP a response about her inquiry (12 or 13 Feb) today or tomorrow - I will let you know if it's worked. Personally, I'm hoping 'exceptionally complex' is just an excuse for being too busy. All the best to you, try not to stress (easier said than done, I know) and do consider asking your MP to query it.

Hello Prasath,
Thanks for sharing. Just a quick question- the ILR Application only asked for 1 month salary slip and bank statement. so why did you submit 6 month. Is it something that I should have done too.

Given Biometrics on 9th March
recd. the strange email:

Thank you for your application for permission to stay in the UK.
Although we would normally decide your application within 24 hours from the date it was submitted, unfortunately this is not going to be possible in your case.
This is because your application raises exceptionally complex issues and we require further time to consider your case thoroughly and reach a decision.
Please be assured that we are doing all we can to make a decision on your case as quickly as possible.

Not sure what they mean.

any help from other member is appreciated.

Regards,
Tilt

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone who applied for ILR using the super priority service on the 15th of Feb, biometrics submitted on the 16th of Feb in Croydon, is still waiting for a decision? Thanks

Hi there, I enrolled on 21st Feb. Still have not heard a single word from them. Crazy as I need to travel on 7th April . They are just so slow and lazy. Did u escalate ?
Hey there I applied on the 20/02/19 super priority and I am still waiting for my brp card. been calling UKVI so much they know my name. I got a call from HO on 27th Feb. telling me there was a glitch and I would get a refund and the card as soon as possible but it has been radio silence still, I also need to travel in may and escalated twice and still nothing. Its SUPER FRUSTRATING.

I have just called to initiate the refund process. The lady I spoke to mentioned that it needs to be via email. The email she gave me was srsukvacs@homeoffice.gov.uk

I have sent an e-mail to the above address and got an automated e-mail. Let's see how long does the HO take to get the refund process rolling.

Hello everyone!

I’ve been reading this thread since I started my visa application and would like to share my experience with all of you.

Tier 5 visa expiry: 20/12/18
Spouse visa application: 10/12/18
Appointment at Croydon: first day available only on 02/01/2019.
Biometrics on 02/01/19
Email to confirm my visa has been granted: 07/01/19
Super Priority service.

Well, I must say that uploading the files on Sopra Steria website was a struggle, as I had too many files (combined incomes) and also, I paid this extra service offered, document checking. The promise is to check if all mandatory documents are clear, uploaded and in the right category. I Labeled all of them with categories and numbers. Like: “finance: bank statements 1” so I wouldn’t lose myself and would be easy to identify in case I didn’t upload any. I received an email from the document checking service saying “no action required” as everything seemed fine. But as a good anxious person, I went there again and voilà: three files missing. I thought that maybe I was tired from the night before uploading many things, so I uploaded again. That happened MANY times before my appointment, with different files, and different times during the days. Once I got the the appointment, I told the lady there that this situation was happening and she asked me which documents were missing on the day before, so she scanned them again (although they were there already) once back home, just out of curiosity I checked again and three other different files were missing. I made a formal complaint on Sopra Steria website and ALSO uploaded a note for the caseworker, explaining briefly what was happening, along the email from the document checking. Then I decided not to look at it anymore and I must say that this week was really difficult for me. Received an email from the caseworker today at 9:31 saying that my visa has been granted.

I also would like to mention that all my anxiety had some reasons: I made a mistake on the application and wrote a letter saying that I made that mistake, and also mentioned on the cover letter; combined incomes in my case are also a struggle because I was a volunteer worker. As a volunteer worker, I had to live in the accommodation provided by the organisation till the end of my visa (even married). My visa expiry date And so many other small details were making me crazy.

If you have any questions, I’m happy to answer based on my experience. This forum was really helpful!

Keep the faith guys, keep your prayers that your result will come soon!

Hi All,

I am waiting for a response since 15th of December (Tier 2 to ILR). My lawyer just received another generic e-mail from the HO again regarding refund if they can't deliver in 24 hours. The same email I received 2 times before.

I can see that on Sopra Steria account I still have access all my uploads and can upload new ones. Maybe it is been answered before but does it mean that your application has not been look at yet if you still have an access?

Also, I am worried as I didn't upload the documents myself and everything was uploaded during my appointmnet. I can see that Sponsors/Employment section and Educational section are empty is it supposed to be like that when you apply for ILR via Tier 2. I provided the letter from my company regarding the my absence and my need for the role for a foreseeable future and also UK degree and not sure which sections they went under when being uploaded. Any advice would be highly appreciated.
@Eagle123, You don't have to worry about that because on 7th of Jan 2019 when my documents were being uploaded the lady told me that the most important thing was passport which needed to be in Mandatory Doc Section and it didn't matter if optional documents were upload in different places. So from my experience you need not worry.

And another thing I find funny is that even thought I uploaded all my document for some reason the case worker couldn't find my "Absence date and my MSc Degree" to support my English Requirement. However, my lawyer did email them back and this happened on the same day I applied for my Biometric
Hi All
Congrats to those who succeeded

Hi there, I complained using the complaints email amongst various other methods including social media, they got back to me on Monday after receiving the complaints email last week. They apologised for the delay and said my app would be looked at as a priority and they would refund the super priority fee. I checked the right to work website yesterday and it seems to imply I have been granted ILR but I haven’t received any letter or email. I would recommend emailing the complaints email as the escalations didn’t seem to do much. All the best.

Hi, everyone

Thanks for this useful website, so I’m here to share my experience as well.

Type of application: SET(M), ILR Spouse Visa (5-Year Route), Super Priority
Online application submission date: 26/02/2019
Documents uploaded online: 02/03/2019
Biometrics appointment date and location: 12/03/2019, 12:00, Manchester
Confirmation E-mail: 13/03/2019, 10:41
(E-mail mentioned my application has now been granted and I will receive my decision letter & BRP, also required me to cut my previous BRP in half and return it back to the HO)

I think I’m quite lucky to get the result in 24hrs. According to lots of the others’ experiences, I even got myself ready to wait for 5 days. So it’s kinda surprised for me to receive the e-mail this morning. Ha~ glad that they really made it in time then. Just guessing maybe it’s because my appointment was 2 weeks after the date when I submitted my application online (there was only available free appointment after 2 weeks time when I tried to book it), and they had enough time to go through my application. Anyway, obviously I’m happy n feel relieved now. All the best to all of you and wish everyone big big luck!!!
