#### NEED URGENT HELP ####

I applied for ILR under SET (0) and provided my Master Degree Certificate from India along with UK Naric Comparability stating 'Master of Computer Applications is considered comparable to British Master Degree Standard' and of course Life in the UK certificate.

Home Office came back with below:

"The evidence you have provided only states the level of academic qualification equivalent. Therefore, the UK NARIC needs to state the CEFR level of English in which the course was taught"

Can someone please shed some light what they are after ? I have provided the same proofs mentioned above when they have granted extensions twice in the past when I went to Home Office in Sheffield for the same day appointment and not sure why they are after something else now?
You need NARIC comparable assessment AND the English language assessment. The two combine from NARIC costs about £150.

Note that this topic is not the correct one to ask about your application. It is only for new service experience and queries.

UK NARIC Provides two certificates
1)Academic Qualification Level Statement
2) English Language Proficiency Statement

Had you provided both certificates or only one certificate.

Had you applied under Super priority service? If yes then when was your appointment and this request for additional document, when was it sent.

Hi all,

Also wanted to share my experience with the new process:

- Paid £60 for 12pm appointment in Cambridge on Friday 16 November (Set M, premium service)
- Arrived early (11.30am)
- Was told to make sure that I was in the general area 5 minutes before appointment by a worker at the library
- Sat in the cafe area adjacent to the desk
- Happened to ask a member of staff if I needed to inform them that I was here to be told that there were significant delays and they handed me a ticket basically meaning that the paid appointment was void and that other people who should have been after me were probably seen before me
- Other people that had an appointment at 10am had not been seen still when I turned up
- No clear signs up anywhere detailing the delay and what visitors need to do when they arrive
- We were finally seen at around 4.30pm and the appointment took approximately 25 minutes (all of my documents were scanned in prior to the appointment so the 25 minutes were for the biometrics and to confirm all scanned documents were legible)
- Many people were turned away from their appointments because of the delays (biometric machine and internet connections issues)
- There was only 1 station to deal with appointments, it wasn't closed off so it wasn't very private so others could hear and see what was going on
- The staff that were carrying out the appointments were doing the work on behalf of Sopra Steria and did receive a lot of abuse from angry customers which was uncalled for as they were not from Sopra Steria
- Overheard one of the staff say that too many appointments had been issued which also caused a backlog so FYI, be prepared for a very long day!
- Have since sent a complaint to Sopra Steria and requested to have the appointment fee refunded and will also be asking for a contribution to our £25 car park fee because we were there for over 5 hours.
- As another FYI, please do your best to upload your documents in advance as the equipment seemed from reliable.

Now I just wait for my outcome which hopefully will be Monday/Tuesday as the application was submitted just after 5pm so that might cause a slight delay.

Good luck to everyone that has to go through this and also let me know if there are any other topics that I can post this to so more are aware.
Thank you for posting this. How much did you pay extra for the 24hour decision??
Hi Jap04d, sorry for the delay in replying. I paid £2,999 (premium service) but then there was the additional fee for the biometrics which was just under £20 and then depending on the centre and appointment time you may have to pay extra (I had to pay £60 for a 12pm appointment). Standard is £2,389 so I paid an extra £610. My appointment was on a Friday, application ended up being submitted close to 5pm that day and I received a decision by lunchtime Monday so I did get my 24 hour (working day) decision.

Hope that helps!

Hi,

Thank you for your quick reply.

I have sent the master degree certificate and NARIC comparable assessment. But don't have the English language assessment.

Will UK Naric be able to give me English language assessment on the basis of my master degree obtained in India?

Thanks

Update. We opted for super priority service and we chose to go to a premium service mark lane London which charges more.

We went on 5/12/18 and now it’s 8/12/18. We have not heard from immigration , not even a email to confirm if they received it ect.... what kind of crap service is this???? We paid so much money just to get decision quicker. It clearly states we will get a decision in 24 hours on their website . It’s so appalling . My husband work place require this before certain period if not he loses his job and has to reapply.

I will definitely make a complaint after I hear from them with a decision , I hoping my husband application is successful. It worries me the fact it’s taking long , making me think something wrong!

Rubbish service. I can see a lot people are in the same boat with no decision in 24 hours.

If people can upload documents themselves prior to appointment then do so , I think it makes your appointment completion quicker.

I am so nervous because it’s raking longer than expected . When called to enquire they said 5 working days

Hi everyone,

I am applying for Tier 2 (General) Visa using the super-priority service.

Timeline:
04/12/2018: made an appointment online (+ £60)
06/12/2018: went to Coventry library. This centre just opened in the 5th Dec. The staff were not familiar with the system and spent around 40 mins to scan all my documents. My appointment is at 10.00am, and everything has been done at around 10.40am. The staff are really nice.
06/12/2018: 5.00pm, called Sopra Steria helpline to check my information has been sent to the Home office.
07/12/2018: 1.30pm, got an email from Home Office said the decision of my application had been made. I will receive a decision letter in due course.

I did not get any further information since that.

Does anybody know what will happen then?

Thank you.

No it is not!! This topic is in the General Immigration sub forum specifically for any questions regarding the new application system/process and is not only for ILR queries through the new system, otherwise it would be in the ILR sub forum!!

Yeah I can access the UKVCAS as well after my appointment was on 1st December. Still haven't heard anything back though.

I wonder if it's for people who haven't got a decision yet?

Can someone whose ILR is approved confirm if they can access their UKVCAS still?

Hey,
one of my friends wife applied for ILR through dependent route in second week of nevember and she has been approved in single day. She can still access the UKVCAS website and can still see upload docs option.

Thanks.

yep, one of the things I tried was to log in and see if my docs were all still there, it seems they are for both those of us without decisions yet and also for those who have received news.

I guess at some point, that disk space that has been allocated to each applicant will expire, but it might well be months and months.

Imagine how user friendly the system could be if the whole thing was set up like a proper support ticket system with the caseworker directly messaging you and status updates. Imagine the reduction in stress if we were able to log in and see Status updates such as "Application Not Seen Yet" or "Caseworker Viewing Application". That would be a truly 21st Century system.
