Hey guys

I finally got my approval via email today. They said a formal letter and the BRP will be sent in the post within 10 working days.

Full timeline:
Application: Extension to Tier 2 (General) Visa - Change of Employer
Application made: 13/02
Appointment at Croydon/Biometrics Submitted: 16/02 12.00pm

1st call to Home Office: 22/2 - hung up on me
Lawyer's call to Home Office: 25/2 - told that a decision would be made in 3-5 days
Official Letter of Complaint: 1/3 - no response to this
Letter before Action: 7/3
Follow-up call to Home Office: 18/3 11am
Home Office email response acknowledging Letter before Action: 18/3 1.11pm stating:
'We aim to complete all Super Priority Applications (SPV) within the 24-hour service standard. However, where we are not able to do this we will complete the application as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately we have experienced some technical difficulties with the new UK Visas and Citizenship Application Service which has resulted in some delays.

Where delays in making the decision are not the fault of the customer we will refund the SPV fee.

I can confirm that your client’s application is now with a case worker and a decision will be made shortly.'

Email approval received: 18/3 2.44pm

I can only advise everyone to keep escalating issues as much as they can, and good luck to everyone still waiting.

Hi Sear,

No, unfortunately no decision yet...anxiously waiting and hoping it'll arrive early this week.
hi poppingweasels,

Could you please which number did you call on? I called on 03001232241, the person I spoke said they will escalate it and I will hear from them within 3-5 working days, this happened twice now.
If you have called on a different number, it will be helpful if could share the number. Thanks, Anil

My friend who had his biometrics on a Friday afternoon (March or April, I think) heard back on Tuesday morning.

Hi all,

I have been following this forum since the 21st of December 2018.

Let me post my full time line first.

Time line:

08- 12 - 2018 - I applied for ILR using SET M super prioty service.
21 - 12 - 2018 - Biometric apppoiment @ sopra stera central London.
22 - 12 - 2018: Case worker emailed me advising that I post the originals of all the documents uploaded.
24- 12- 2018: Original documents received and signed for .

05- 07-2019 - email confirming my ILR application has been granted.

Now as you can see it took the home office over 6 months for my case to be completed. In those 6 months I contacted the ukvi over the phone at least 3 times every month. I contacted my MP in February and she wrote to the home office, the home office wrote her back advising that they are waiting for external checks to be completed and so on.

I called ukvi on the 21st of June to advise it was 6 months exactly and still nothing from the home office. The lady was so helpful and gave me the best advise I will give all of you here still waiting.

She told me that the contact centre don’t really do much and that I am better off writing to the case working team in sheffield.

On the 22nd of June I wrote a letter to the case worker advising him about my current situation - no job, 2 kids, finding it hard to survive. Etc.

2 weeks of sending that letter I got the email advising that my application has been approved.

Now I am waiting for the refund , not sure how long that will take but for now I can proudly say that the wait is now over. Thank God.

Best of luck to all of you still awaiting a decison, it is stressful, annoying, painful etc. Trust me I felt it. You Literally have no choice but to wait.

In conclusion, I will advise that you send at least 1 letter monthly.

Good luck

It's Monday at 9:50...i've still heard nothing. Right to work has not been updated.

I called and they said super priority decisions are made in 24 hours - but they can take 5 days to communicate it to you?

Can I complain at this point about getting a refund for the super priority ?
At this point would you get your MP involved?

Sharing my story as reading through other stories gave me a lot of hope, and at times made me worry. First trip to England I came on a visior visa back in 2007. Stayed six months, flew back before it expired. I flew on my own and my partner followed almost six months later. A year to the date of me first meeting my husband in person we got married. Shortly before his USA visitor visa expired we flew back to England again. Three months into my second ever visitor visa I found out I was pregnant with our child so we flew back to America as I was only on a visitor visa and had no medical coverage.

My husband ended up overstaying almost 3 years due to him entering on a visitor visa. At the time we were going to try and fix his legal situation but he really missed home, his friends and lost his entire life he knew while we were in the USA. Which really was just the three of us as my family have always been extremely disfunctional and didn't want our daughter near them. We made the decision to move back to the UK. He moved first to try and get a job and find us a place, while he was doing that I was applying for a Spouse Visa (I did this on my own without a solicitor). All the money I had saved went to that and it was rejected due to not meeting the financial requirement. Huge mistake on my part for not looking into it enough and being more educated on how these things work.

Our daughter lived with me and we were separated from my husband for almost a year and a half. I saved up again to get enough money for us to visit and was going to let our daughter live with him while I tried to save up for the appropriate visa again. When it came to me having to leave I broke down and just couldn't cope with the thought of us being separated. So I ended up overstaying by four years. My husband was on benefits and I obviously wasn't working so it took us a long time to save up to try and fix our situation.

I contacted a few solicitors and met someone on a different forum, she had a similiar situation and had success with her solicitor so we decided that was the solicitor we were going with. Took about a year, but I was granted FLR FP via the 10 year route, and finally I was in a legal standing position and things were looking up for us. I got a full time job straight away and have been working ever since. My husband has signed off all benefits (minus PIP and Child Benefit - we don't claim Child Tax Credits as I'm worried if my name was on any claim it would ruin all the hardwork we've done to get us in the right legal standing position). My current FLR FP visa is up on the 16th of July.

Worrying about how long standard application timelines are for FLR FP I was worried I wouldn't be able to continue to work, not only that but our tenancy agreement is up end of this month and with it being mainly in my name they said I wouldn't be able to renew it unless I had my new valid visa - not sure how accurate either of these were but I didn't want to chance it). Although reading through this forum I have read that it is pretty much only advised with straight forward applications. Felt like I was seriously gambling with £800 for Super Priority Service as with me having 1) A previous denied Spouse Visa and 2) The fact I did over stay for four years until being granted my current FLR FP visa. Not only that but this time around I couldn't afford to use the solicitor I used for my current visa so I've done this one on my own ... last time I tried it on my own I got rejected. Panic all around! Again, I did read that extensions are typically easier to get approved than the initial applications I was hoping I had a good chance. This is my first ever extension.

I applied on the 20th of June and booked the soonest appointment at the closest location to myself which is Wakefield. Attended on the 8th of July (yesterday) at 10am. Appointment was straight forward. Took my biometrics (finger prints & photograph) and then she verified all my documents (I already previously uploaded all of these at home prior to my appointment). I do think I went over board as she said she's never seen anyone upload so much (there was 350 documents total) but was worried of missing something and being in a really bad situation again. I genuinely just want to keep doing things the right way and move forward with our lives. We've made one too many mistakes as you'd be able to tell. The entire appointment was done with in 30 minutes.

From 2pm until I went to bed I kept refreshing my email hoping to hear something back. I couldn't sleep and kept having nightmares of different scenarios but they all ended up with me being rejected. I woke up this morning feeling extremely anxious (felt like I was going to have a breakdown) and again kept refreshing until I went into work. At work I kept checking every 30-60 minutes. Luckily my manager and colleagues all know about my situation and didn't care. My manager would ask after every check, "Anything?" "...No." Felt more and more hopeless after every check and kept worrying it was going to be bad news.

At 4:25 I received an email, I was shaking checking it. Once I read the first few words I had this massive sigh of relief. Email stated:

"Dear Mrs ************,

I'm pleased to confirm that your application for leave to remain as a spouse/partner has now been granted. You will receive your decision letter and biometric resident permit (BRP) in due course and these will confirm your immigration status.
Thank you for using our super prioriy service.

Kind Regards,
* ******* "

I don't want to give anyone false hope, so please don't gamble your situation. Weigh out every pro - the cons aren't worth gambling. I just feel so incredibly thankful for my result (and proud that I did this on my own!) Wouldn't have been so successful without stalking through countless posts on this forum which is why I wanted to share my story. Because so many stories helped and at times scared me into preparing more. Wish you all the best of luck. Will update with the date I receive my letter / BRP.

Applied for ILR Set M (5-year route). Had not issues with the permit after 2.5 years.
Application 17.06
Appointment 28.06 (at Croydon)
Uploaded documents myself, no issues at the centre.
Got email from the HO the same date that additional documents are required.
Immediately replied back stating why those documents are not applicable in my case (same as last time), and why they have not been submitted (there is an exception specifically stated in the evidence rules for my case -- will not go into details).
No answer.
Called the HO during the week after. Was told to wait for 5 working days and call on Monday.
Called on 08.07. They took my details, and said they would escalate (not sure if it helps), and asked to wait 3-5 working days.
Checked right to work web-site - no change in status. Waiting till the next Monday to call again.
Will see what they respond. If nothing changes, will go through the MP route.
Understood, that we're pretty much at the mercy of luck -- you either get your decision rightaway or something goes wrong and you may end up waiting for 6 month, even though you relied on the super priority service.
Had planned whole family vacation with both grandparents and kids in august outside the UK, and no can go anywhere until the case has been decided. Also need to travel for work.
Hope that this whole process will get better.
If you have any ideas what could help in my situation, would very much appreciate any advice.
Thank you.

My wife a Canadian citizen in UK since 2014 on ancestry (grandparents) applied super priority set o for ilr. We attended her biometrics on Saturday 6th July 2019 and the application was submitted. We have had zero update since then and are not getting much sleep

We know the home office don't work sat or Sunday but would have expected an email on Monday or Tuesday to say our application has been received

Anyone know how we get an update ?

Dear Friends,

This is my first post to this forum. I want to share our application experience in order to provide information who are applying for SET LR 10 years rout on Super Priority Service.

Submitted application online: 5/07/2019
Attended Core Centre, Croydon: 10/07/2019 in the morning at 09:15
Email received granting ILR on 11/07/2019

Although they could not decide the application within 24 hours, I kept checking my email as well as Right to work website until I received email today around 16:30 confirming grant of ILR.

One more thing to share as I didnt receive the email within 24 hours I contacted my MP and emailed him about this who also contacted the HO regarding this delay and I received emailed from both HO and MP.

Anyone can advice whether I can apply for refund of £800 fee paid in respect of Super Priority Service? where and to whom I can write about this ?

I appreciate your early response.

Regards,

Amir

Are you being serious?? You attended Sopra on the 10th and got a decision on the 11th and you want a refund and kicking up a fuss by contacting your MP about the "delay"???? Get a grip, you are not the only applicant in the UK and HO do not work 24 hours a day!!
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Please DO NOT send me a PM for immigration advice. I reserve the right to ignore the PM and not respond.

I have received my ILR this week and I would like to thank this site as it's been so helpful throughout the process for me. I couldn't have done it without this forum!
I would like to share my experience at Sopra Steria at Croydon centre. My application is ILR via Tier 2 5 years route.

Submitted my application on 1st July 19 and paid £100 to book the appointment on a Saturday 6th July. On 9th, I checked right to work gov website entering my Tier 2 biometric card and the status has been changed. I wished that I checked it on Monday 8th so I knew. I know some people seem to receive an email from HO, but I didn’t get any emails from them at all. I then got the approval letter and biometric card on 11th July Thursday.

The appointment was scheduled at 11:00am on 6th July Saturday, but I arrived at 10:30am and they let me in after checking my appointment letter and going through security check. 10:55 I got called with other people to do biometrics and that finished at around 11:05. Then go called 11:45am ish and got called to verify documents. The lady was not friendly as she didn’t greet me, just took my passport whilst taking and eating her nuts. I thought it’s so unprofessional. She also yawned like 10 times right in front of me… So all in all, it took one and half to finish everything.

Please ask me questions, and if I know, I will try to help you as much as I can.

Hi Sir/Madam,

I have submitted my wife ILR application on 5 years route SET (M) booked Super Priority Service .
I have submitted the online application on 6th June.
Documents scan on 12th June .
Received Email from HO on 12th June around 4ish as below

"Thank you for your application for indefinite leave to remain.

Not sure why they have asked for these documents again as already being submitted initially any way I have send my documents again on 18th June since then haven't back anything.
I have emailed the case worker to get me any update.

I went in for my appointment at Croydon the morning of July 10 using the super priority service to extend my family visa on the 5 year route. I expected to hear back by the following day, but I've had 4 people tell me on the phone that although they'll make a decision by the end of the next working day, they won't inform you of the decision until 5 working days later. For me that's eod tomorrow, July 18. I can't find it online anywhere that confirms it actually takes 5 working days post the 1 day turn around time.

There should be no issue with my extension. I'm married to a Brit, have a British baby, I provided double the amount of payslips and bank statements due to my maternity leave pay being different from normal last year, but my P60s the past 3 years clearly show I've always been well above the minimum financial requirements. I provided more than double the amount of documentation required to prove my husband and I live together. I'm just getting so concerned. The right to work website hasn't updated, and I have work travel in 3 weeks. It's hard not to panic right now...

Hello

I applied for ILR through Tier 2, 5-year route. I have been with the same company for over 5 years (Previous on post study work visa)

Biometric done at Croydon center @12:15pm on 16-Jul-2019
Email from HomeOffice on 17-Jul-2019 @12:18pm stating "decision has delayed as a result of having to contact my employer to confirm some information".

17-Jul-2019 @ 17:00pm - no email received by my HR yet. Anyone experienced similar situation before or know what they ask from Employer and when does the email arrive?

HO is only interested in your last 6 months (if category A) or 12 months (if category B) of wages through series of 6 months/12 months of payslips instead P60 which doesnt show the clear picture of earnings required for visa purposes. Usually any earning prior to 12 months isnt counted under salaried/none-salaried person approach.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

upload all documents on Friday 12 July and paid for Super Priority Service FLR(M)
had appointment in Peterborough on Monday AM for BRP - Paid extra £60 for appointment.
asked them if any issue with documents.
They said all good only need re-scan my wife passport and BRP
They said decision in within 24 hours.
They didn't contact my work or asked for any more documents
Now is 19 Friday and no respond from HO
Called UKVCAS on 18, They said wait 5 working days.
They are kind of missleading about Super Priority Service, I can't find anything in internet about 5 working days for Super Priority Service in UKVCAS website.

very stressful time.

Hi Guys,

My wife had applied for her ILR (SET-M) on 25th April 2019 using the 24hrs Super Priority. we are still awaiting for HO to make the decision.
On 26th April 2019 we received the below email:

"Thank you for your recent application for Indefinite Leave to Remain, using the Super Priority Visa service.
We have attempted to process your application within the 24 hour service standard, unfortunately it appears it will not be processed within the 24 hour target. This is because your application raises exceptionally complex issues and we require further time to consider the case thoroughly and reach a decision."

All our document checking was fine and no further action was required. I have given HO more than sufficient supporting document in order to avoid any delays. My wife has never been refused for her Visa and my accommodation and finance is more that sufficient so i am puzzled on why this would be the case. After Chasing for an update on 2nd May 2019 i have now received the below email on 3rd May 2019:

"Thank you for contacting UKVI Contact Centre.
We aim to complete all applications within the 24-hour service standard. However, where we are not able to do this we will complete the application as quickly as possible."

Considering the fact that we had paid an extra £800 for the Super Priority this is not the service we were expecting. There is no details on what complex issues are causing the delay. Also no one from HO has contacted my wife and today is 6th May 2019. Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone know what steps i should do now as after escalation all i have received was a generic email.
Guys, i have chased for an update now from the HO several times for my wife's case and being completely mislead. One adviser mentioned that it can take 8 weeks for a decision and another had advised that it can take upto 6 months. There is no details on what complex issues (if any) are causing the delay. i was also told that they do not believe a refund will be issued on the basis that the case worker had attempted to complete the application within 24hrs. If they cannot then the application moves to the standard service of 6 months. Was also told the 24hrs Priority service is not a guaranteed service. This is completely unfair and there is nothing like this mentioned when choosing the priority service. Any suggestions on the next step of action?

Wife has now get her ILR after both of us were called for an interview after my MP got involved to check whether we are in a genuine marriage. Absolutely ridiculous as i had provided more than sufficient documents evidencing this. i had full support from my local MP and checked the documents and cannot believe this. After verifying my document with my MPs they had wrote a letter in my support. I would like to know if anyone else have got done by the HO with similar issues where they were not at fault and whether the HO had refunded the additional amount for the priority service? HO should not be allowed to get away with this!!!

I called UKVI yesterday and recieved this email from UKVI today

Thank you for contacting UKVI Contact Centre.
We aim to complete super priority visa applications by the end of next working day. However, where we are not able to do this we will complete the application as quickly as possible and issue a refund where UK Visas and Immigration or our commercial partner is responsible for the failure to meet the next day service standard.

anyone has this kind of generic reply? should I expect to speed up the process now or get refund soon?

Thanks

I understand they're only interested in the last 6 months. Fortunately my salary and 6 months payslips prove I more than meet the financial requirement. It's now been 2 weeks since my appointment and I've heard nothing. I called 5 days post the decision deadline (July 18) and gave my details. I called again today (July 24) as I haven't heard anything. They took my information again. Today I received an email saying a decision hasnt been made, then 3 minutes later that email was recalled, then 3 minutes later another one was sent just saying thanks for contacting us. I called the office again and was advised to wait another 5 days, so 3 weeks post my appointment date. I have work travel in 2 weeks I'll have to cancel if I don't hear back.

At the same time...my employer ran an ECS (Employer Checking Service) last week and received a positive verification notice. Is that good news? Or is it just positive because my visa is still in process. They told me there's no worry around my legal right to work, but I'm worried about needing to cancel travel. I have no idea what's going on or why this is taking so long
