Hello,

I just booked an appointment for Super Priority Service at Crydon for 21th Aug and would like to share my experience.

I need to pay extra £100 for the appointments during the same week and no more appointments left after 9:30 am. I navigated to another week and you will have to pay extra cost £100 if you want an appointment before 10 AM.

And previously, that £100 will include the Document Scanning service too. However, I saw a notification message that they have changed it recently in July and it's no longer included.

You will have to buy and pay extra £45 if you want a Document Scanning Service.

Hi everyone. I’m new to this forum and as helpful as its been, its also causing me much the same anxiety as many of you have experience.

My wife is the British party, I’m US. In March we were granted a marriage visa and were married in June. I applied for my Biometric Residence Permit (2.5 year) on July 24th and had my Sopra Steria biometric on August 8th. Paid super priory and have not heard anything at all. My immigration attorneys (who submitted on my behalf) have also received no reply.

Called the HO contact line on friday the 16th and obviously all I got was “we dont have access to application data” and a referral.

Received a generic email... “The appropriate team has been notified regarding your request. UKVI hope to action your request as soon as possible.”

Feeling incredibly lost and scared as we’ve recently come to learn my wife is 8 weeks pregnant. I cant think of anything in my application that would be concerning and we meet all the requirements. Am I just in limbo? Don’t know what else to do.

welcome to the waiting club...

My husband is american too.

We have a 17 month old daughter and i am currently 16 weeks pregnant too.

We had biometrics on the 26th , called on the 5th, had the case escalated after hearing nothing. Got a generic email, called back in 5 more days and was told that i cant do anything more for 30 days.

Being pregnant my stress is through the roof. Im worried sick and my midwifes are worried about my bp and stress levels. Apparently ANY email, even if its generic like the one you got counts as a reply. So they wont escalate again until 30 days has passed. Now ive just given up hope, I cry myself to sleep at night with worry.

I’m so sorry you are having to go through this and we are very much feeling the very same. Do you have any sort of representation? I’m so scared I’ll be in limbo or have to go back to the US I wont be here for the birth of my baby its making me sick.

How can a generic email count as a reply if it’s not any sort of actual substantive correspondence? None of this makes sense.

That is exactly my worry!. I live in Scotland and my husband and kids are my only family. We didnt get an advisor, only because we dont have any sort of immigration history or anything. My husbands brp runs out on the 22nd but we were told as long as you applied before the end you are fine to stay until a decision is made.

I literally have no one else here so the thought is killing us.

The advice line said that any type of email, even if its generic or detailed counts as a reply. The reason for this is that the first line on the phone have no access to your application status. They are not allowed to access it for data protection reasons. When you call to escalate it , the staff who deal with escalations only have limited access to the system. They cant tell you any decisions, only which stage of the process you are at.So for example the email we recieved "we aim to process in 24hours" etc... that means its not been looked at yet. Or if you get the " in the process" email that means its with a caseworker and the "decision has been made" email means that a decision is on the way.

I used to check the right to work page daily but its actually giving me panic attacks when i check it and its not changed. We cant escalate again until september now. They told us 30 days from the 5th...

not sure how much more stress i can take tbh

Hi Everyone,

This website has been great in finding answers and I just wanted share my experience with the Super Priority Service:

Applied for FLR(M)
Online Application submission: 15/08/19
Biometric Appointment: 17/08/19 at Croydon. Included document scanning.
Received Visa granted email: 20/08/19 14:20

Very happy with the experience. The Sopra Steria staff were very helpful and got the appointment done and over with in 45 minutes.

Thank you everyone.

Hi everyone

I have been following this thread since last couple of weeks and thought today to share my situation.
My situation is not very different to mrswow and EamonP. The only difference is that I have applied for ILR(M). Like both of you, everything was good, so I thought better to go for super priority. Its been over two weeks (biometrics on 5th Aug), I have not heard anything apart from generic reply after escalation and same story of no further escalation for next 30 days. Honestly first week, I went into little depression but its slightly better now. I dont think its do with applications, could be due to busy time or any system issue or admin error (until some ones find out). Well, I am not an expert and just trying to give myself hopes with different excuses - Lol. I have gone through pretty much all posts since last November but majority of people with delays had recieved some sort of communication like complex issue email or even recieved some reasonable reply after escalation (I might be wrong). But in our situation, we did not had any reply after application and even after escalation (i dont count generic email a reply)
Few people have mentioned contacting local MP. @mrswow and @Eamonp, have you tried this.

Thank you.

Was it easy to book an appointment ? How much did you pay for the appointment and did you pay extra for scanning service ?

@mrswow you should try not to worry too much as there is nothing we can do...literally out of our hands!

I am waiting on this BRP for the job offer of my life and if anything goes wrong then it is down the drain. It is also the only way I can stay back with the love of my life-my husband! A lot is on the line.

Just gotta stay positive.
do you know what the email i recieved means? To me it reads that they didn't look at it yet but i am no expert.

Its so hard. I absolutely know what you are going through right now.
As you can see I posted before I got same template's email.

I think we applied in school holiday time and many of staff are away and they have no enough staff to work on cases
OH! Thanks for replying Samrn1

I never thought about the holidays being in play. I have been so worried. I wonder if this means they didnt look at our application yet.

It was okayish I would say. Looked at the appointments straight after I submitted the application. There was no appontments available local to where I live (East London) for the next few weeks so was panicking.

But looked at croydon and it had many so booked the 17th. Was reluctant to book croydon due to not have any parking but found ruskin car park, had many spaces maybe due to going there in the morning. £6 for 3 hours. Would of cost abit more if I was to go by public transport.

They charged £100 for the appointment and £45 for document scanning.

Congrats!

We are day 26 with still nothing.

To Fa987 - we also have the depression from this. I have heard of a few folks contacting their MP but im not sure it would make a huge amount of difference. Im pretty worried about rocking the boat! we escalated on the 5th so we cant do it again until the 9th of september ish ( they dont include weekends -_-) but even then, if its another generic email im not sure what happens. Im guessing more waiting.

I have been silent reader of this forum from couple of years and i did gather tons of information from here to which I’m thankful to all the active members and them people who been posting their questions etc.
My timeline is as under
Applied ILR (LR) on ten years basis
Application submitted 19/08/2019
Appointment attended on 20/08/2019 in croydon at 8am ( for which i paid £100 pounds extra and i took the service for scanning my docs for £45 )

Exact 8am i was in the building, and at 8:23am i was done and my application was sent to the home office.

I kept on checking my email and Right to work website. But nothing came up on 20th august. On 21/08/2019 at 10:30am i checked the right to work website and my status was changed to THERE IS NO LIMIT ON HOW LONG YOU CAN STAY IN UK.
But i did get the email at 11:15am which read as, I AM PLEASED TO INFORM YOUR APPLICATION TO LEAVE HAS BEEN GRANTED.
Now I’m going to wait for BRB...
Guys i would like to share my honest experience, i wanted to apply via solicitor and i approached few of them and paid their initial consultancy fee and almost everyone was charging around £100 to £1200. Me and my friend ( who had to apply for his wife’s ILR) decided we will do the application ourselves, the application for ILR on ten years basis is soooo simple seriously guys I cannot emphasis enough how simple this application is and there’s no rocket science in this application from A to Z we did it ourselves and both of us got the visa, thank to Almighty GOD.
If anyone needs any sort of help, I’m available to answer any question as long as it’s related to ILR ten years route.
Guys wish u all the best i know how hectic this visa process can be so if i could be of any help plz let me know. All the best to all of u and once again thanks to this forum I learned a lot from here.

Hello Everyone.

This forum has provided me with a lot of useful information on visa-related issues. I have just received my BRP and decision letter earlier today and would like to share my timeline with you guys with regard to the UKVCAS super priority service.

My timeline for Tier 4 Extension (LTR)

Application submitted online - 13/08/2019
UKVCAS Appointment - 16/08/2019 8:30 AM (London Premium Lounge EC3V 0HR)
*I have to pay £260 extra to book this appointment, and it was the earliest possible slot for me when I submitted my application.*
*Make sure you print the confirmation email, you have to show them the printed version instead of the QR code on your phone at reception.*
All scanned documents uploaded and fingerprint done by 9:15 AM
Approval decision received on the same day (Email from Sheffield Student Team) - 16/08/2019 14:47 PM
BRP and Decision letter received - 21/08/2019

Good luck everyone who is still waiting for their outcome.

My Limited Leave to Remain - 5 year partner route is now granted! What a relief. My time line:

Application for limited leave to remain - partner route
Online submission super priority paid - 24 July 2018
Sopra Steria biometric appointment - 8 Aug 2018
Contacted UKVI Contact center - 16 August.
Received generic email from UKVI Contact Center that request was referred to appropriate team - same day
Returned home to Royal Mail signature required form on doorstep 21 August.
Collected Grant of Leave to Remain 5 year partner route from Royal Mail depot on 22 August (letter dated 16 August).
BRP received: no

Never received an email, nor did my solicitors. I guess the waiting for the BRP begins now. Are they usually punctual with them. Seems like there’s a no consistency here either.

I dont know if i’m allowed to say who’s been helping me, but MrsWow, if I were you I’d look into hiring xxxxxxxx attorneys. They have offices in London and New York and specialize in US/UK immigration. When my first visa was refused due to HO negligence they were instrumental in getting the HO to reconsider without my having to go through a lengthy appeal. I’m sure they could help you as well. They do suggest having an MP send a letter as well.

Thats great to hear! Glad you got your visa and congrats on the pregnancy!

We have not had a refusal, we have not heard anything at all. We also have no indication on whats going on apart from the generic email on the 5th basically saying its not been looked at yet. I dont know what to do anymore other than just wait and hope. Also thank you for the recommendation but we are based in Scotland.

I dont know if i’m allowed to say who’s been helping me, but MrsWow, if I were you I’d look into hiring xxxx attorneys. They have offices in London and New York and specialize in US/UK immigration. When my first visa was refused due to HO negligence they were instrumental in getting the HO to reconsider without my having to go through a lengthy appeal. I’m sure they could help you as well. They do suggest having an MP send a letter as well.

(admin if I’m not allowed to discuss the contents of the last paragraph please amend with my apologies)

Mrswow we both are still waiting from July 😩 hope we get soon from HO

Have you heard anything since Lucky?

We have had nothing at all since that generic email and the Right to work website hasnt updated either.

I know a few people on the thread have said the right to work website didnt update for them until they had the decision.

Its such a stressful time, i really feel for you too Lucky <3

Where did you apply from? We had biometrics done in Glasgow.

Same boat, as you guys. Over 2 weeks and no news. I am so stressed honestly.

Does Right to Work, change for every one when their Visa is approved? And if it changes, does it change straightaway even before getting email or post.

Many thanks

I'm not sure Fa, I have seen some people on here where the right to work has been updated BEFORE they have had the decision and similarly i have seen some whos has been updated AFTER.

I don't think its a reliable way to track progress. Seems very hit or miss.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share my experience with Super Priority application for SET (LR).

Application & payment submitted: 22.08.19 00:02
Docs uploaded (all): 22.08.18 00:22
Biometrics appointment attended: 22.08.18 08.30 am (next day £100) Croydon Core Centre

It was a very smooth process I was out of the building at 09:00am. Done my biometrics and they checked my documents and scanned all stamped pages of my current passport (not my previous passports, I have scanned every single pages inc. empty ones myself). I asked the lady when should I expect to hear for super priority and she said within 24 WORKING hours (which means about 3 days? doesn't seem right, maybe she was mistaken...)

Now waiting.. checking right to work website, but no update yet. Do you think it is a reliable method? As I am using my current BRP number to do so, but surely the number would change once they issue a new BRP for ILR?

Overall, booking super priority and attending is much faster smoother process than before as I was easily able to book an appointment for next morning, which previously (before the new system was impossible).
