Thats great to know. Did you get a seperate letter or was it just from the email?

We got the decision letter 4 days ago on the 20th and husband recieved his BRP today 24th.

It didnt say anything about a refund in the official granted letter but the caseworker told us it had been requested in the email she sent saying leave was granted.
The letter was attached to email sent by the complaints team in response to my complaints email. Also, an update: just got the refund credited to my account yesterday so really2x quick, only a day after I got the email. made my day actually!

So Finally,

I got my BRP and Approval letter came in post. On same day.

Dat of application was 19th Sept and ILR stamped on 20th but letter dates are for 23rd Sept. I had no email communication. Also theres a another letter attached in documents stating an apology and acknowledgement of refund for Priority service.

So I guess not in all cases you should expect email.

Thanks everyone for guidance

Congratulations. Quick question: Did the BRP get delivered by DX or Royal Mail?

The BRP will be delivered by DX. If you missed it, you will receive a letter from DX (delivered by Royal Mail) to book a re-delivery. The decision letter will be delivered by Royal Mail though, they will require your signature for it.

they will use normal second class post which doesnt need signature unless you have sent them the prepaid special delivery envelope

Hi, i have had 2 BRP applications in the last 2 months, a change of last name and ILR, on each of those occasions, i had a “we missed you” card from royal mail for the decision letter and had to schedule a redelivery for it so just advising based on my recent experiences. Guess it’s not the same for everyone then.

Many time postman leave that card even in case of normal post where he/she couldn't deliver the post such as due to blocked letterbox/due to construction.

I'm feeling extremely frustrated, I wonder if anyone else is on the same boat. I'm submitting my ILR application, but there is no option available for the Priority Service anymore, due to the overwhelming demand (see below notice). I am willing to pay for the Priority Service and have had made plans around it; but now I can only choose the Standard Option. So I'm in agony right now whether I should submit my application now with the Standard 6 months processing, or wait for a whiile to hope that the Priority Service will be offered back again (My visa does not expire until 6 November, after Brexit). What do you think?

I know not everyone would have an opinion, but just hearing what you have to say will ease my frustration and makes me feel a bit better, thank you.

Service Update We are currently experiencing high demand for appointments for our UK Visa and Citizenship Service Centres which means you may have to wait longer than usual for an available appointment. We are working closely with our partner Sopra Steria to ensure additional appointments are made available at sites across the UK as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to assure you that you have up to 45 working days to book an appointment once your application form has been submitted.

I'm applying under the 10 years long residency route (Set (LR)). Thank you CR001 for caring.

I am actually tearing up right now. I'm feeling so bad and anxious, I couldn't even explain it. There are some critical business travel I need to do over the coming months, which might not be permissible if my ILR application is pending.

Standard service is 8 weeks. They rarely take 6 months these days.

Have you tried other centres even if it means travelling far?

Hi CR001 - The Priority Service is not available at all as an Option, there is only Standard Service to choose from - see picture below. I'm willing to go to to the end of the earth for this (even travelling from London to Edinburgh or further), but it's not an option at all

Picture link: https://ibb.co/w76XWfM

It's great to hear about the 8 weeks; I'm also concerning Brexit and Christmas will slow it down greatly.

I'm just contemplating if I should submit today, or wait for a week or so with the hope that the Priority Service will be back again. Looking at the forum, it seems that the option for priority service has been removed over 10 days ago.

And you definitely completed set LR and not set o?

Brexit doesn't affect UK immigration applications. It affects EU citizens and their family in the EU route only.

Thank you CR001. I have definitely applied for Set (LR), and also have had a lawyer prepared the online application for me so that I couldn't get anything wrong; and then pass it on to me. My immigration history over 10 years is Tier 4 (5 years), Tier 2 (3 years) and Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur (2 years). It's completely strange to me as to why the Priority Service is not an option when it comes to paying. I presumed it was due to the current workload.

I also have the same question - has anyone been able to see priority appt. availability yet? The earliest I can apply for ILR is October 17th, and I was also planning on doing the Super priority service.

I didn't have the option to choose super priority either yesterday (10 year ILR route). I paid the standard fee, assuming the option to pay 800 extra would come at some other point afterwards.

This is crazy, why would they remove the option to get the super priority service without saying anything about it? People plan their lives around this, now I can't leave the country for maybe 6 months when I expected to have it in a week?

Hi,

I did try again today, but extremely early in the morning (8am) just in case they release a limited number of spots every day (Yesterday I tried at 530pm). This morning at 8am, I, fortunately, was able to see and select the Priority Service. I managed to secure an appointment in 2 days (this Saturday) - but of course, that's after paying £260 premium for the appointment... Now I hope they won't refund my Super Priority Service fees like they did to some other members here in the thread. Wish me luck!

Thank you @CR001 for your encouraging comments yesterday, I honestly had an emotional meltdown yesterday when I wasn't able to choose the Priority Service and saw all my business plans collapsing.

I am so sorry to hear, and I totally understand your distress (I had the same emotional meltdown yesterday, I honestly teared up a bit). I don't really know how to help, perhaps some moderators here would have a better idea. Just wanted to leave a quick comment to hopefully make you feel better and that we were on the same boat. Perhaps try to contact their support line and see if that would salvage anything?

I also have the same question - has anyone been able to see priority appt. availability yet? The earliest I can apply for ILR is October 17th, and I was also planning on doing the Super priority service.

Hi,
Did you try today? Are you able to chose super priority.

Congratulations, I'm happy for you!

Myself, I'm gonna be extremely pissed if they refuse to change my application (as it says you can't change it after paying), since this is obviously some kind of non-communicated website issue or something. How can something this important and life altering be this poorly run? Shameful

Likely you did not read the blurb that all members have reported seeing as far as I recall for a couple of weeks now. Note also that UKCVAS is NOT the Home Office. They are a third party agent contracted to do the document check and biometrics.
