Do we qualify for a refund as the HO has failed its service standard of 24 hours?
they don't even treat you as if you are eligible for any visa when you call the number.they snap back at you.
do you think they will give refund?

I went to Mark Lane, London on 30th November and haven't had a peep out of HO, not a call, email or pigeon.

Most others seem to be in the same situation though, so I'm not sure what is to be gained by calling the UKVI helpline at this point. I think I'll contact DX though.
Have you contacted DX.
I used direct message on twitter last week, this morning I called them (0333 241 5700)...they don't have anything on their system for my address.

Others have mentioned Royal Mail - does the HO use both DX and Royal Mail? Is there a difference in which they would use for different types of visa/routes?

I will 100% be applying for a refund - but only after all this is done. 8)
This is now the 10th day since our appointment and a 24 hour decision was promised. "We decided in 24hrs but took another 2 weeks to let you know, honest!" simply won't cut it. I have that mailing address in Liverpool that someone posted last week and I'll be writing to them when this charade is over.

Sunnysakhi do you know how Manibala89 applied and did he explain how it came and what he did in those 18 days. Did he escalate it ? or called anyone to find out?

What a torture we are going through. It is inhumane. As per the general guideline if HO need further checks they let applicant know about it. There is no communication from them and no response. It is not fair. It is torture.

Please post the address for claiming refund!!

Once this is over I also plan to make some noise about this absolute nonsense and ridiculous torture.
Everyday waiting to hear back and nothing for 6 working days and 9 (10 if you count date of application) calendar days.
It is supposed to be faster with the upload etc. and still nothing.... the frustration is getting on my nerves!

Hi everyone,

I am applying for Tier 2 (General) Visa using the super-priority service.

Timeline:
04/12/2018: made an appointment online (+ £60)
06/12/2018: went to Coventry library. This centre just opened in the 5th Dec. The staff were not familiar with the system and spent around 40 mins to scan all my documents. My appointment is at 10.00am, and everything has been done at around 10.40am. The staff are really nice.
06/12/2018: 5.00pm, called Sopra Steria helpline to check my information has been sent to the Home office.
07/12/2018: 1.30pm, got an email from Home Office said the decision of my application had been made. I will receive a decision letter in due course.

I did not get any further information since that.

Does anybody know what will happen then?

Thank you.
Did you get any updates from the Home office? When did you get your BRP?

Yes, I mean my solicitor. I had submitted my biometrics in Manchester on Sat, 1 Dec. It was for a change in employer.

I just got the email forwarded by my solicitor. It didn't have any signature and didn't appear to be a standard response. Might be due to the follow-up by my solicitor.

Ah very lucky. I applied in croydon on the 24th also have a solicitor but have not heard back. Today my solicitor emailed the case work team to find out .... I’m also trying to change employer.

Did your solicitor or you had to email call or do anything to chase this up ?

Yes, indeed. I was myself getting very nervous, but I hope this shows that they are making some progress and hope others get a decision soon as well. I am not entirely sure as they just forwarded the email to me.
